What an amazing performance at 82. The high notes are absolutely bell-like pure without wobble. And Marta knew how to act: her use of gesture and expression reminds me of Maria Callas Marta was an elegant "pro" and someone whose very slow aging process we all aspire to but few of us achieve. So let us be very glad for her and treasure the recording legacy she left us.
The whole world loved this wonderful selfless lady; she was the antithesis of everything that the Nazis, and their obnoxious, callous-creed amounted to ! Marta Eggerth was LOVE-personified ! I just know that she is now in Heaven, where she belongs !

Her technique was truly amazing: she could sing almost anything as a light soprano, including a quite dazzling coloratura! She was one of a kind, and a real Wunderkind! She's so terribly missed, and she was a dear friend of mine. Bless her and RIP. She must be now singing to the Angels in Heaven, in a better world.

This amazing lady was still a beauty at 82. Sad she lost her husband, Polish tenor Jan Kiepura so early. They were wonderful together.
