I have a metal wing chun ring. I like it. It takes some getting use to. As for individual sizing of the rings, general rule is that the outer portion of the ring (across wise) should fit between the elbow and yhe wrist. In other words...the ring measurement is determined by the length of your forearm. Hope you get the picture.
Shit, if you KNOW what you're doing you can stab a Raw potato with a fricken McDonald's straw and last I checked throats were softer than a raw russet 🤣
Never use it with elbows in because it will make you want to pull them apart. If you want to learn elbow placement nest the ring in between your elbows thats what will make you want to pull your elbows in and keep them stable and unmoveable which is what wing chun is about.
I may be wrong the way you measure 📏 what size of a rattan ring you need is you measure your Forearm. From the inner wrist to the end of your inner forearm. So say for example, I would purchase the 10” rattan ring since my measurement of my forearm is 9.5” , you would want to the size that will keep you in tight elbows in for chi-Sau and drills from Wing Chun , if you don’t have a partner , especially at this time or a wooden dummy . But I’ve found doing the wing chun ball method works well 👍🏼

Just ordered one off Amazon. Looking forward to using this
Ahh you could have got them from us at Enso
Do you have 📀 DVD instructions training on Rattan Rings. Please tell me 🥺
We used to get some but unfortunately we haven't had them in for a while
Hey enjoy, do you carry unsharpened metal training butterfly swords?
Yes they can be used as a weapon and trained as such.
Hmm interesting, it seems a strange weapon. I've only seen Master Wong talking about it as a weapon. Not many other people
Yeah in the sense everything is a "weapon" if you train for it lol.
