Kellogg's sued the maker of a program called Fruity Loops, even though it wasn't spelled the same way as the cereal. They had to change the name to FL Studio.
I'm actually pretty impressed (as a New Zealander) that you managed to draw a pretty decent rough estimate of AUS & NZ - especially given that many people don't even know that we are separate countries. 🤣You're about a mile ahead with the fact you even split NZ into North and South islands. Good job!
The map misconceptions are fairly intuitive when you think about it. As someone who has been trying to learn the world map on some level, it's really hard. Especially because you see different maps that present and/or distort the earth in different ways. I also used to think the Korean peninsula was roughly just North of where Taiwan is. I think the reason why is because I got Taiwan and Hong Kong mixed up and I think of Korea as a warm place. Another is Timor-Leste, which I thought was a lot closer to Papua New Guinea. That's probably explained by the fact that (all due respect) most people probably don't even know that's a country.
Interesting video. The strangest example of the Mandela Effect that I know of is in the James Bond film Moonraker. When the baddie jaws encounters the petite blonde woman, he smiles to reveal his steel teeth and she smiles back revealing that she's wearing mouth braces... or was she?
I did indeed know that george washingtons teeth were slaves teeth, but I do remember learning in elementary school that they were made of wood... So maybe they just taught us all incorrect information lol
I initially remembered NZ being north east but then I thought on it longer and I was like oh yea it’s actually kind of far south of Australia so I got it.
About the start, I read an article about how that fact isn't a Mandela Effect, so much as an intentional fictional story spread to make him seem closer to the poorer class who could only afford wooden teeth.
I was worried about where that c3po fact was going, he had a very famous "error card" back in the day. The 1977 Topps one was a little bit too suggestive :D
Thank you for the video. Fascinating topic and very relaxing to listen. You may be interested to know that here in the UK, children in World War Two were given coloured gas masks. They were known as "Mickey Mouse" gas masks. Fortunately they were never needed! Is this the explanation for your statue? The Mandela Effect is fascinating, although I'm slightly bemused at the name. During the 1980s we had loads of TV news reports over here about all the horrible things happening in South Africa. There's no way Mandela would have had a state funeral if he had died in prison! I don't know any examples of the Mandela Effect, but do misheard song lyrics count? For years i thought Jimi Hendrix sang Purple Haze with the line "s'cuse me whilst i kiss this guy". Unfortunately it's "kiss the sky"... I believe misheard song lyrics are called Mondegreens after another commonly mistaken song.
Hate to say it, but the history books constantly change Even adults that I talk to on a regular basis have a completely different history, knowledge and basis for school then I did There’s a lot of stuff they didn’t touch on that. We do like a big thing that I learned about that. A lot of people I know didn’t was slaves and black history and culture that isn’t negative. They would learn about some of their culture, but they would only teach them the negative things and I don’t understand why, like obviously racism, but it makes you look like a really bad book author when you say white people did this… And this… And this and Black people didn’t the end

Coming in cold and I just paused it. I believe his teeth were made out of ivory, not wood.
Guess I was wrong lol. And the truth is terrible lol.
i googled and according to encyclopedia virginia his teeths were also made out of elephant and walrus ivory.
@@jeannesoboulsundstrom2883 ah! okay, well i was partially correct.
