    Yes Eivind, I agree, Good tools make tying more of a joy. I have all the Petitjean tools you have, and the master vise and accessories as well. I love to tie on the vise too. Especially for precise tying abilities. Also tube flies and those smaller flies like smaller than 26. This has always been my dream vise. Now I like the one you do but I am not buying any more vises. There has to be a limit. I hit mine a while back.
    I will be awaiting what you finally decide on with this fly. I have several I want to try several long fibre dubbing very sparingly and see which I like the effect of more. Thanks for sharing and All the best to you and yours. God Bless. Sean

    Hello Eivind, yes you were dabbing the tip of the superglue gel. Okay really nice fly. I have got to tie some. I have a few ideas to make it like some of the fry that are most prevalent in our waters. I love the fact that you teach with such detail the proportions of the fly. All the best and God bless you and yours. Sean

    Great looking fly and outstanding video. I will definitely give it a try. Have you ever tried using a little thin UV resin over the eyes to help secure them better? Or do you think that wold add a little unwanted weight?

    • @Mrfluefiske
      @Mrfluefiske  8 років тому

      Hei agn54. Thank you for the kind words. No I haven not tried using a little thin UV resin over the eyes to help secure them better. I do not think it will do much to the movement of the fly if you choose to do so. I do not have the problem, that the eyes fall of, when I use the gel-superclue. All the best, Eivind Berulfsen.

    Did you mean STF dubbing? SLF is (synthetic living fiber) Dave Whitlock and others, at least here in America. STS is a long fiber dubbing that sells a white transparent and other colors. I got that dubbing from DK. Just asking for clarification. Sean

    • @Mrfluefiske
      @Mrfluefiske  9 років тому

      Hi Sean. Jepp, I do mean SLF as in synthetic living fibers, thx. I could not find the right word for it there and then. You can use many different types of dubbing for this fly just to try out different stuff. All the best, Eivind B.

    Well I finally am getting around to ordering the CDL and I see that the natural comes in pardo which is a brown line of rooster with some speckling and Indio which is a gray or steel line of rooster without speckling. Both are available in dark, medium, or light. From your experience which would you recommend?

    • @Mrfluefiske
      @Mrfluefiske  8 років тому

      Hi John. Well it all depends on the colour of the baitfish you are trying to imitate. I honestly just used the one I had picked out for my dry flies. But if I would have to by one for this fly I would go for one with a dark centre stripe. It imitates a herring and here in my district they are all silvery and dark on there backs. Good luck with the fly! It's a blast to tie one! Tight lines, Eivind B.

    • @Mrfluefiske
      @Mrfluefiske  8 років тому

      Hi. The one I am using is not dyed in any colour, it's all natural. But there will always be different shades, some is lighter some is darker. Hope it help and good luck my friend. All the best, Eivind Berulfsen.

      Fabe Dee Hi Fabe. This is a huge problem! I know! I am so sorry, I am also struggling with finding this dubbing. I got this dubbing from a friend of mine and did not check if it was available in the shops. I am not sure what to do. I am still looking and checking different shops to se if I can find something that looks almost the same. I will let you know as soon as I do. All the best, Eivind Berulfsen.

      Hi Fabe! I just found some See Through Dubbing here in Norway. They do not ship out of Norway but I have just order the colors you need and can ship them to you. Will you please send me your adresse to my email through my website? They had Black and Creamy Yellow but not white. I found a new color that will work great instead of white and its called Tobis Green. I ordered these three colors. All the best, Eivind Berulfsen.
