- Pokemon Shiny Treasure EX released on December 1st, and the debate had already started - is Pokemon Shiny Treasure actually good? It's the 2023 High Class Japanese booster box, and the artwork is stunning.
Looking forward to the english version, Paldean Fates, and I'm now really excited! There is amazing artwork, and a bit of a change with some shiny pokemon featured in Special Art Rare cards, which are absolutely incredible.

I pulled iono and gardevoir sar in Kyoto Japan few days ago. The art is really cool
only a few card I like in Shiny Treasure, too many cards tho!
Imo the Iono will increase in price again, didn't see a lot get pulled

I’m curious when you pulled this data. I bought that charizard you had listed for 36 for like 16.
Recorded on Sunday, so 1 day before.
Prices are still moving a lot, so lots of changes. Plus often times different apps and sites will have different data. So I always just consider it as a reference point and not 100% truth

how do you think shiny treasures compares to other high class japanese sets like vstar universe or vmaxx climax?
I’ve never opened climax, but I really really enjoy VStar universe. Shiny treasures does seem like a lot of fun tho!
I have the mew sar, snorlax, drifblim, starmie, and a handful of others including entei. I think entei might be undervalued right now since it’s the only dog in the set.

Hey there is something going on with your audio. Sounds like I was at a drive thru.
I'm pretty sure the microphone volume changed, and I forgot to change it back. so it was clipping during the recording, so I had to reduce volume in the video, which doesn't sound good. Hopefully be better next time.

Japanese cards just kind of fall flat compared to my expectations from what people were saying. Made me think it was the end all be all but it's realistically not worth the price IMO. Some of them are nicer but not 5x nicer. The card stock is more slippery and I don't like it, the reverse holo on this set specifically reminds me of old bootleg dollar store cards and I think it's tacky. The UR and SAR look nicer but not at those prices IMO.

@@ThePokeOffice the mini shinies and the full art shinies def look better from what I've seen and the texturing to those is much nicer then a flat holo at least, I have to give credit where due.

Considering how all the regular rares and below are all reprints (even the ex cards), I'm really torn on whether or not I'm going to open some Shiny Treasure ex. 2-3 baby shinies and one SSR being guaranteed makes for like 3-4 interesting hits per booster box (!). Of course you can hit big, but chucking not even 5 cards into a binder for 80€ just doesn't do the trick for me. Might be too much of a gamble, but we'll see how I feel once I receive my boxes =P
Yea I totally understand that. I find a ton of enjoyment opening the box, but odds are definitely not in your favor if you’re looking at adding a bunch of value to your binder, considering the cost
@@ThePokeOffice Yup. I wouldn't hesitate if the commons and rares were new cards, but since they're just reprints, the big hits are pretty much the only things I don't have yet =D
The reverse pattern on the reprints is really sick though. If you arent opening a lot though idk that its worth opening.

I chase shinies wherever I can so this is big. Waiting for the english set however, just difficult to grab japanese and most of my set is EN but good lordy I can barely resist some Japanese cards sometimes. Like some rares promos and all. So excited for this set!!
I wish they did more Pokemon Special Art Rares, but it's a good start as these sets don't usually have that rarity tier.

The Palafin artwork is outstanding!
Nice box. You can always get a sr/sar/gold card in a box but there is no guarantee. You will always get an ssr and 3 babies. Unless god pack obviously. The art rares are actually super hard to pull
How many boxes have you opened so far?
Little shiny baby at the end was Glimmet! Pre evo of Glimmora, a full art shiny in the set. I love this evo line. Glimmet is really cute. I chase it’s shiny in the game if was a blast.

@ThePokeOffice i just feel it was much to say to feel disappointed to pull that sar when sars arent guaranteed in every box. but i get it, i know theres always gonna be negative views no matter what pokemon does
