Time flies, trust me. Once you start GCSE content, make sure to start making revision notes/materials etc. asap while you're learning the content so you're not doing it towards the end bc that's how all the stress builds up.

honestly bro as a current y12 I recommend just chilling. Year 12 is draining not matter what subjects you take so spend as much time as you can not thinking about school work ahhh. However, if you are looking for ways to help yourself when it gets closer to going into year 12 then if you are doing chemistry I would recommend making sure you have all the bonding and moles stuff solid as it will definitely help you. For biology I would just recommend you get the basics down like cell structure as majority of the stuff you will have learnt for gcse goes into way more detail at a-level. I hoped this helped :)
I personally recommend starting to revise early on in the year if you’re aiming for the A* predicted grades. Your end of year 12 exams will probably determine the prediction grades and so if you start revising in the first term you will be set for the exams. Trust me, you don’t want to be studying 8 hours a day for a week before exams ( I learnt that the hard way), A levels have a lot of content so start early, when it gets to the half term before exams, you shouldn’t need to revise content, just do past papers. That’s the best way to get an A*. I messed up year 12 and so going into year 13 I will change my strategy to get the A* grades, with this strategy I know it’s possible. That’s why I recommend it.

any tips for maths and English language?
@@justsomeone5660 if you're giving your exam from the Edexcel board, then I suggest you to practice the past 10 years of question papers to understand the pattern and concept easily for maths. For English, you have to scheme the markschemes for the past 10 years of question papers to understand how they identify points for Section A. Section B and C just requires your own creativity.

@@justsomeone5660 yep, physics as well. the markscheme points only matter, they do not care about the writing pattern in the GCSEs.

Can we just memorise the mark scheme, then do the practice paper without looking back? And then we got revise on the content we are weak at?

Long time no see Udoka. Do you do an EPQ? If so, what's it about?
EPQ honestly isn't worth it, it's an extended project qualification where u practically do research on a certain topic of ur choice and do an essay on it or something like that and it is a lot of work and many year 13's (specifically from my sixth form)have said that majority of the universities didn't take particular interest in it therefore it's a waste of time. Although if u want to do it then go ahead.
@@sS1SR906 I get where you're coming from but EPQ can help with transision from A Level (or equivalent) to uni. I did it to see where I am with project work and to see where I can improve to thrive at uni

Quick question for a levels. I'm trying to get to a medical degree (preferably pediatric) I'm definitely taking biology and chemistry but not sure if I should do maths or psychology. What do you recommend?
im doing the same subjects too! but I'll also take econ and statistics, med school is super stressful tho and im really nervous about that
The third a level can be anything read up on several med schools entry requirements but usually for most biology chemistry are required third one can be anything. I also want to go into medicine so I have picked biology , chemistry and psychology because I know I won't enjoy a level maths . Pick a third a level that you think you will enjoy :)

@@human-kg8nu Thanks that actually really helps ☺️ People say that maths is more "accepted" but I feel like chemistry is enough maths for me 😂 and psychology acc looks interesting. although I'm not an essay type person, I feel like I'd enjoy it a lot more than maths.
my school offers psychology as work experience type of thing so debating whether I should do maths biology and chemistry and have psych as a side thing to build my cv. idk anymore 😂

Note for people who can’t stick to a revision timetable. Something else always coming up, getting distracted etc. Try and instead use a to do list for the day. 2hrs maths 1hr English 1hr 45 biology etc

hey, i actually saw ur comment in another video where u gave someone advice for english language, but i cant find that comment now. could u pls mention the tips for english lang, especially creative writing, again? :)
@@birdie7344 just read novels in general that have advanced langauge and structural techniques etc. I cant name a few of the top of my head but if you read a sample and there are words you do not know when reading, that is a good indication. When writing stories, using techniques and grammar is half of the fishing rod. For hook line and sinker you need that advanced volcabulary weaved into the metaphor, similie short sentances etc. For GSCE what I did was write basic structure for my story that I could adapt depending on the word they gave for Question 5. They give a image to describe and a word that usually says Write a story about "Abandonment". If you want I can send you a google drive link to my story i used in my lang gsce to get 30+/40 so you can get the gist.
