It's tough to do a drum cover. You are self recording and you want to stand out. You want to EQ/Master yourself in to the track in such a way that your drums don't sound poor and your rudiments shine, yet you don't want to overpower the track. You don't want to sound simplistic and boring. You failed at all of the above. Learn to EQ/Master, and to do more than a simple 4/4 with sixteenths beat.
