My name is Annie Laurie… I was named after this song in honor of my Scottish heritage. My mother said when she sang it to me when I was a baby, my eyes would well into tears… they still do when I hear it, and this rendition is no exception. Thank you - so beautiful!
This song was beloved to my pioneer great great great grandfather, jesse Griffen. On cold winter nights long ago in a frontier cabin he would play Bonnie Annie Laurie.
So beautiful! My mother's name, Anna Laura....and this song (and this performance) melt my heart as I mourn her passing. I cannot listen without tears. This is so beautiful, thank you. I've shared this link with my family to honor her memory. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your talent openly, that I might find this performance and listen to it often.
i learned about the song in "Cedie Ang Munting Prinsipe", studied the notes through listening and actually didn't know the exact title of the song until 10 years later. I just loved the song and always remembered Cedie playing this in his flute 🥺😭
seriously? i assumed u finished the said anime and yet u don’t know the name of this masterpiece? ilang beses binabanggit nina james, annie at cedie tong song na to
So beautiful!!! I loved this song since I was a child I am 40 now and I just started learning violin with my daughter. I also play piano, have been for 20+ years. This will definitely be one of the songs me and my daughter will play someday!
My Mother told me that when I was born, this was going to be my name. They changed their minds...I quite like it, actually, and I very much love this version of the song.
Fine work by both performers. I liked the violinist's use of vibrato at the introduction of the verse parts, especially the first two, and the excellent work on the high notes.
0.75x speed and it's perfect (or at least the version I prefer) Also a dramatic music in Little Prince Cedie, and OP song in sasurai shoujo nell(which came before Cedie)
I think this tune is well known in Far East countries because Christian missionaries over there in the past gave the tune different lyrics and turned it into a hymn. I could be wrong though. One hymn with this tune is The Bright Heavenly Way.
Violin play is good but I also wanna mention the pianist is pretty as well. She is not disturbing the violin by controlling her play. I wanna know her name, if possible.
hearing this music today (2023) i hope the new generation will still appreciate this beautiful song.

Nice story Annie Laurie 💝🎂💐greetings from JAPAN with Love 🎌🙏
Just wonderful. I grew up very close to Maxwelton Braes and sang Annie Laurie in primary school 50 years ago.
My grandfather would sing part of this song to me ... we are not even remotely Scottish (he was Romanian).... yet still made me feel special.
This is my favorite version of Annie Laurie on the violin. It makes my heart sing. Miclen is a master.

On listening to this melody I should naturally feel like as if my identity overlapped with a Scottish soul in the bottom of my heart❤
My Mother told me that when I was born, this was going to be my name. They changed their minds...I quite like it, actually, and I very much love this version of the song.
So touching, what a beautiful composition and energy you have! ❤
The way you played the violin was soooo beautiful... I am deeply moved by your emotion and I'm tearing up a little. Thank you!

A very beautiful rendition of a Scottish folk song.
Not Robert Burns.

I've listened to this piece many times and I have wondered what inspired Miclen LaiPang ( who played it beautifully) to choose this piece.

Sounds as if it inspired Hallelujah and Lethal Weapon by Honeymoon Suite
Inmensamente linda la canción y que decir de la interpretación.
Apenas intentándolo con Armónica en Casa.
