The Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482) allows Australian employers to address labor shortages by bringing in skilled workers from overseas when they can't find an appropriately skilled Australian.
To apply for a 482 visa, the position must be on the relevant skilled occupation list, and the applicant must have the necessary skills and experience to fill the role. Additionally, applicants need to meet English language requirements and health and character checks.
The 482 visa allows holders to work in Australia for their sponsoring employer, study (without government assistance), and travel in and out of Australia as often as they want while the visa is valid.

Not always the skill assessment is required, to demonstrate work experience you need a reference letter from you previous employer(s), payslips, tax return statement, bank statement where you have the salary paid into your account etc.. Hope this helps and thanks for your feedback :)

Hi, thanks for your comment. As she is 44, she can apply via a DAMA where she get age concessions. The visa applicant must not have turned 50/55 years of age (depending on which DAMA) at time of visa nomination. Hi, for visa 482 you will need to demonstrate 1 year of experience starting Nov 24. once 482 is granted you can apply for 186TRT after 2 years, have a look at our latest videos where we have explained the transitions in depth. however, to get a 482 under a DAMA agreement your employer must registrate as sponsor in their local DAMA region. check out more on our channel as we have a playlist dedicated to DAMA visas

Hi, thank you! The work location is what counts: if the employer’s head office is in metro, but the work location is in regional because maybe the employer has subsidiary office there, then it can work

Hi! Change of position within the same company requires a new nomination to be lodged and a new visa to be requested. It will effectively require 24 additional months to be worked, as if a new visa with a new business was acquired
If the granted 482 is under Short Term Stream and STSOL, is there a direct PR for that ? Or should I change my Job that is under MLTSSL instead which will give me 482 Medium Term Stream
The Australian Government has announced changes that will allow short-term 457 or 482 visa holders to have a pathway to permanent residency in Australia after 2 years. If you have held and worked on a 482 visa for at least 2 years, you can apply for your PR.

How immigration department will know about any jobs such as secondary school teacher and if an overseas applies and even qualifies but the school doesnt bother contacting the overseas potential candidate and put someone of their own from here and there even that candidate doesnt fit in the equation, how immigration ll catch...?how ?I applied for a school in Epping and comply with all requirements...even called...the phone operator already coming up with preplanned and premeditated answers; when asked about HR email or school Principal contact /meeting.

Did you apply with a migration agent? the current approval time is between 38-88 days so you’re still in the approval timeframe 😊

How Australia can help nations and allow new, seasoned, qualified and experienced teacher be a part of Aussie economy?There are many schools in VICTORIA I applied and one of those is in Epping-a muslim school and they neither communicate well nor entertain overseas teachers when it comes to talking to HR/Principal over the phone or even ask for an appointment with the help of a friend -who has been living in Australia already.
