I just thought of an au where the Sun Kingdom fell, the citizens became slaves, Livi was driven away from his land and Nike was locked up somewhere inside the kingdom. Every day, she sings this song to let Livi know that she's alive and she's waiting for him to save her and every time she does, the citizens look up to the sky with worried and sad faces because the rain no longer signifies as a blessing or glory but a symbol that their queen is crying, waiting for her missing king.

I think I liked this version better than when she first sings it. You really feel what the song means when she is singing it in the last episode. I love this song. I wish I could find it to purchase.
