This mission would've been great if it weren't for the stupid timer. In fact, there are a lot of missions with timers in them.. MO's mission designs are definitely not designed for chill gameplay. lol
honestly krukov and reznov's base should have just been controlled by AI. which slowly gets overwhelm if you dont get Volkov's ass in the Psionic Converter
the soviets on the moon fired so many orbital nukes at moscow city, that some strafed off to the moscow county/oblast (where this battle took place) and killed every single units on the field

holy shit how did i finish this game on hard wtf , this probably took me a month or so of constant saving and loading i cant even remember this mission
Not sure why everybody is complaining about the fps. I'm playing it on an office laptop with Core i7 10th with not discrete graphics card, and I'm getting solid 60 fps on 1080p and High settings through the entire mission.
Played casual wich is hard also and had to use arsonists to destroy the 2 last defenses. Good to destroy one of the dominators before upgrading volkov otherwise the manual invulnerability will make it imposible
This mission has a lot of bad user experiences imo. The timer is gigantic. You have no feeling of "what to achieve at what time". The maze-structure of the map is insanely confusing. Basically I had to start over after I found out that my south west attack should advance WAY further and then I literally had no time to get to the last beacon. A better mode would be to start with ~30 minutes timer and consecutively add +10/15/20 minutes after destroying one beacon, depending on difficulty.
@@canon07 well, I personally haven't tried doing saveless mental Death's Hand, one of the reasons is that I'm personally making my own mission pack so I don't have time to play other stuff
I pity the map designer for setting up all the thousands of Epsilon units and buildings...
There's a reason the finale missions were all delayed by 2 years. They were meant for a 2019 Christmas release.
Also hate that the Sovs don't have Air Transport.
Even a third world country has them, come on!
And here I am, reloading same save to try magically move my three last tanks to last spatha under iron curtain...

True. The problem with this mission is the attack from three sides. Two, okay, but three? Too much. Painful mission.
@@Ainigma Yep, definitely not for the faint of heart. Hopefully, the new update will balance out some missions like this properly.
This mission, along with Death's Hand is the price to pay for Earthrise being a walk in the park.
I shudder at the thought of playing this mission on mental.
The thing in my head right now is what spec would be enough for the game to handle the scope of these last missions.

still amaze the game's fps is good when playing that mission how did you do it? or is it we need higher specs pc to make the fps faster?
RA2's engine is heavily dependent on the CPU, the graphics card doesn't matter at all and I have an i5 7600k
