It is sad that most houses in Lagos don't even prioritize good practices concerning living conditions... yet they quote big figures while the building work is quite shabby!. Below are some of the things I encountered that needed work on The rooms were unbearably small, smaller than normal (obviously someone wanted more buck for space) Proximity to noise pollution (Churches and impromptu street parties) Unsanded metal rails used in burglary proof No offset or sufficient parking space or basically enough allowance... I noticed some builders also skip the use of waterproof hence water seeps from below the soil and you end up seeing worms emanating from within the tiles Basic finishing details like squaring wood used in door making, or lintel or even wall construction, some builders rush this over Sometimes, you see how weak the walls are as they cannot hold paint, fall off on their own, and even see height-long cracks.... Some toilets not having wash hand basins because the restroom is so small For some, it is poor ventilation due to lack of provision of cross ventilation... (If the one side of your apartment is walled out or seal and the other is open, make sure it is open to space that is quiet, not noise pollution prone, not parking space, else you would be breathing in the fumes (if not sufficiently ventilated) from your neighbour's cars or generators when they are warming their cars, or driving in or out, or even fuel from filling/storing their car or when their car is leaking it)
Most ofvthe house is not presentable It wont even give you the choice to take time and arrange your apartment to your taste You would have to rush everything with how hard the economy is at this time , things are hard to add extra stress too

Curious! Why the masks in apr 2024?
It's because I work in the hospital, I usually just leave it on throughout the day.
Other times, it's to prevent dust.
