I'd be curious if people who donate blood regularly vs those who don't, see different rates of these aging related diseases.

Donating blood has been shown to reduce your risk of cancer. I don't think that simple reduction of iron was ruled out though.

Blood cannot be donated frequently enough (six donations a year), but people can get paid to donate plasma weekly, which employs a smaller version of the apheresis exchange devices mentioned in this video. A young frequent donor getting paid for four donations a month achieves the therapeutic exchange volume of a traditional $8k TPE treatment, and by doing so, may avoid developing inflammatory diseases later in life ua-cam.com/video/KAbm_vAYgcs/v-deo.html

Tech note: Finally a change in the intro bumper. I don't love it, but the duration is good. Hate it when they're way too long and loud. Thanks for the semi-retro bumper we have now. These things "add up" when you watch 20-30 videos in a row like I did when "catching up" several years ago. Carry on.

my problem is the shreaking sound the current intro makes, it also strikes me as unnecessarily old in visual quality, Just a small visual effect logo popping out of thin air or something would be better.

is this the same as giving a blood plasma donation? I have a friend who donates twice a week, they basically stick a needle in his arm and suck out the blood. I'm guessing they replace with saline. He even gets paid!

    • @isabellezablocki7447

When you donate blood, they don't give you a saline solution in exchange. I got a saline solution only once back in my arm because I could not get up after giving my blood without fainting.

Woe to those who would argue in favor of vivisection. Intellectually, your knowledge on the subject is lacking to say the least. But that pales in comparison to the pathetic, depraved nature of your hearts.
So horrific and indescribably heartbreaking what goes on to these animals. And so heartbreaking what happened to the children. The children who are in Heaven, the pope on the other hand…. And likewise, the innocent mice only fools see little worth in as if they could evaluate anything, are in Heaven and as they continue to be demonically tortured until they’re thrown away dead or just thrown away while they’re still alive, are only destined for Heaven… Whereas the vivisectors…. Now what position do you think it would leave you in to be on the side of the evil pope? And so, what position do you think it places you in to be on the side of those who torture animals? In the name of… well, it doesn’t matter why anymore than it mattered why the pope felt it was necessary to bleed the children.
As for the last remark in this video, how absurd to find anything wrong with donating plasma to help age-related disease in calling it “the old feeding on the young.” Childish at best. Do we not already donate our blood to help those in need?
