I'm both the guy who leave an alliance before I sell and the one who burns his ship before leaving...why you ask? for no reason other than my own monke brain enjoying the tomfoolery and fire
The key part of burning the ship before logging off is to also send it full sail off in a random direction, preferably with wild turns of the wheel beforehand. Always satisfying to watch it sail off into the distance, a Viking funeral... or have it pull a 180 and crash into the crew trying to watch it sent off.
If you don't leave your karma crates on the outpost dock and burn down the ship with a proper send-off before logging off can you even call yourself a pirate legend?
I remember two guys tried to get me to join their alliance, and as soon as I joined they tried to kill me. They used that as an excuse to board my ship and take my loot. But I killed them sailed away and left the alliance. Later they asked why I left and I said, “Never try and screw over your business partners.”

I got voted into the brig by my 2 friends who had a combined 30 mins of gameplay and a kraken and reaper attack at the same time happen as I cackled in the brig good times

My friends always want to burn and sink our ships at the end of the session... until it came to my galleon on her maiden voyage, all because she went through a lot and survived what she should not have survived... getting in so many battles (fair, since we were reapers and were looking for fights) but one battle was because we were chasing a brig and got kraken'd, brig came back to help the kraken sink us but we managed to stay afloat for 16 minutes, long enough for the kraken to give up and then the brig ran... like a b. We tried chasing it again but we got skele shipped soon after, LIKE CMON! So brig escaped, we sunk the skele ship (it was a gally) and went on our day... So after all that we just decided to be nice to the ship and not burn and sink it. And I have yet to repair the ship, I repair all my other ships but that one. I'm not sure if I ever will repair it either. Not because I don't love my galleon, I do... I just... I just want to remember what it went through on its maiden voyage. (There is an unlisted video of the incident but still).

2:02 I don't get it why ships in a hourglass battle get kicked to another server when sunk but in normal adventure mode not that doesn't make any sense and it's so annoying.
I’m guessing it’s because people are more likely to be bitter / wanting revenge after being sunk in an hourglass and sending them to another server prevents toxicity. In a normal adventure it would suck if someone sunk you while your doing a tall tale and you got sent to another server. Just my guess
@@BugSenseii My problem is that onetime I was fighting the Fort there was this one sloop that we sunk 4 times in a row and then we needed to run because we were out of supplies and that's just so annoying. I love PVP and PVE but thats a big problem for the adventure mode at least with the second time they should get kickt to another server (the encounter was before season 9 so their ship didn't drop supplies)
