We are in the storm. I look for things to get worse. Buckle up folks. We are in for a wild ride.
YEE HAW
Politicians sold our country out a long time ago. There is absolutely no reason that we cant make and grow everything we need right here. And guess what, we wouldn't need anything from anyone. Please tell me something we need to survive that we can't produce.
All Americans need to stop paying Taxes, Until our Government fixes our Country First 🇺🇸 I don't get payed for doing nothing at my Job 🇺🇸America First 🇺🇸
Striking against automation?!!
They do know that automated equipment doesnt go on strike or demand pay-raises?!?
the very reason why they need to automate every where possible.
True 😂true😂
They're just reinforcing the urgency at which automation needs to be deployed.
Dockworkers earn $100k to $200k or more per year! They're demanding a 77% pay increase over 6 years! Nobody in my family is getting a guaranteed 13% pay increase per year! Getting a fair wage is one thing but extortion is something else.
They are only earning that with Crazy overtime. That isn't base pay.
Yes, they were also offered a 50% raise before strike and they turned it down!
Don't blame the Wharfies! They didn't give billions to Israel! They didn't give millions upon millions to Ukraine!
American's need to UNITE!
Your causing division!
UNEXCEPTABLE!
Saw an interview with an old woman last night that has lived in the hills west of Asheville, NC. all her life.
That entire area contains large deposits of Lithium & Quartz. Maybe somebody wants that land? Hmmmmm
Toyota is building a $5.9 Billion lithium battery facility in Greensboro, NC. - announced last September.
This is ridiculous, I sympathize with the dock workers but blocking supplies and food after a major natural disaster over pay is basically price gouging . This is why I hate unions
This - total jerk move that they didn't delay because of the storms and people needing supplies. Plus, will there be Christmas toys for the kids? Those mostly come from China. Bad timing, and it's going to make people hate them for it.
This should be considered national security.
And seend in the guard.
I am from all over the world, born there , lived there and there, and also visit often the US. Want to tell you your dialect is awesome 👌
This is interesting, when was a railroad workers strike, gov put the end to it real quick, and here is one of the most important industries in the country and I don’t see government care about it.
Wouldn't you agree that most of our present politicians "suck". A government for the people, by the people?
Doesn't seem to work that way anymore.
Yup. I am a long-haul truck driver. This is going to be tough. :(
Luckily, I mostly haul food commodities between Ohio and Nebraska that are processed here in the midwest. Hopefully I do not begin losing miles and money.
I’m a teamster and our last contract included no driverless vehicles. That’s only 5 years but after that who knows?
I am in South Carolina right by Asheville . The devastation is The worst I’ve ever seen and I’m from Jax Florida ! Just bought a deep freezer and the generator and a case of 5.56 🤷🏻♂️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I would like more than 4.00 I received in January in my social security check
The only thing about the truck drivers they can't get together to agree.
People in this country have no idea how bad their life can be if truckers could go on strike.
Nobody would have or be able to get anything within a week.
Everything comes on a tractor trailer, they supply giant warehouses, grocery stores, gas stations. Lumber yards, paper mills who make toilet paper..
Everything!
But you have company owned semi's and private owned semi's the drivers don't want to make they're life and wages better by striking together because they don't want to be without themselves.for everyone else that's a good thing..but that is slowly going to be forced to happen because of regulations on the drivers.
These doc workers make more than the average worker that's not on strike. The ones that will be hurt the worst from this strike aren't the rich, but the poor and the middle class. The thing that bugs me the most is this union boss turned down more than a fair raise which was at least 50%. He's demanding a 77% increase plus a promise that the companies don't automate. I would love to make what these union workers make which is well over 100k per year.
Well Port Canaveral isn't on strike. Decades ago, I was apart of the ILA. This is a huge disappointment for these people. Many things have changed.
Interesting..that's the east coast..just channel all the stuff there
Military has had weather altering tech since Vietnam. Wouldn’t be too surprised if they did something to initiate the hurricane…
BOOM 💥 💥 💥
I worked as a union truck driver for 33 years. It was long hard hours. We also had negotiated contracts every 5 years. Always a battle and always about sharing the profits with workers.
Where every company is messing up is they see less expenses and more profits and they think it will last. But when thousands lose their jobs and can't "buy" their products and services, then they will see the impact. Some won't care, some will lose everything since the peons can't support them as a business. Time will tell.
F the overpaid dock workers. They only have a job because they’re in a union. I was in the trades and I got paid what I was worth, not what a union got me. I EARNED IT! Sorry but these jobs aren’t complicated
exactly! especially if that work can be automated... it means a lot lol
If the world gets automated ,
Where will people work .
Exactly
It's called high education jobs...
The plan is ubi. The bots do the work and we get a cut. Will it work out that way? probably not. We're talking utopia, where no one really has to work and we can just frolic in the sun all day. I dont see how greed allows that to happen. It's hard to see the forest through the trees, but if say Ford makes cars and nobody gets paid, then nobody buys cars and Ford goes broke. I think its inevitable that automation takes over, but the transition is not going to be easy for us.
I agree. We should go back to the horse and buggy era.
@@0PsychosisMedia0
AI and robots will replace those jobs as well. Socialism will be the only way forward.
As a Christian, I am looking up every time I am out side. I do not know whet to say about these activities.
Those people make 150k a year to 100k 😮
Some $200K with overtime.
The answer isn't hogher pay. The prices need to revert back to pre Covid prices i.e. rent payments and mortgage payments as well as cheaper gas and food and chilcare services. The root problem is corporate greed. They are hooked on keeping their yearly record profits no matter if they have to lay off a thousand, 5,000, 10,000 etc.
Buckle up and strap in yall.....
UAW felt the pinch with their demands and the same is coming to them dock workers. No sympathy here.
The port operators will just accelerate the AI / robotics automation and then the longshoremen won't be needed anymore. And it's not just the ports. Every industry will be transformed by these changes and the people? Who would hire them when companies can import technicians on H1B visas to maintain it all?
Technology has and will "screw" the human race. At this point in life, glad I'm retired with no debt.
The middle & lower classes are screwed.
Great channel
I don’t believe in coincidences. They turned down a 50% pay raise and are allegedly holding out for a 77% raise. They can get proper fucked. I’ll go without bananas and Chinese goods. As for his BS line about not having cars to sell, he should drive by any car lot in America. Shit ain’t selling son, and it’s not because it’s stuck on a ship.
I am so with you on everything you spoke of. 100% agree!!!
They just put a gun to the American peoples and said pay us or else. All the people in NC,TN,SC,GA and FL that got crushed by the storm. I guess you will just have to pay double to get supplies trucked in from California. You really expect me to believe they're struggling at 39 dollars an hour before overtime and benefits package that the average American can only dream of having. They voted for this economy. Labor unions historiclly and overwhelmingly vote democrat. People should receive fair days wage for fair days work, but this just feels like extortion.
Yup, it's fked, I'm pretty sure they're already overpaid, and get great benefits for what they actually do. They see we are in a recession and want to make everything more expensive for everyone. If I ran the docks I'd just hire a bunch of new people, and fire every single person on strike. Call other docks, give a list of names so they'll never be hired again
This strike should be a lesson to all working class people of the power that they hold. You just made another video about government unresponsive to the people after Hurricane Helene. This is how people can make the government responsive to them.
The best thing you can do in times like these is....go to church.
🙏 and seek the truth.
Or pray at home.
...and hope for the best.
and pay them 10% of your income... :)))
Thank you for speaking the truth…….🌝
KAMPALA CAN NOW SHOW US HER PRESIDENTIAL SKILLS
I see drones in the near future doing deliveries. Chatgpt will also take thousands of jobs as well. Unstoppable force.
I understand unions and their reasons to strike and their fears. But just like air traffic controllers (remember that years ago?), I think there are certain unions that should not be allowed to strike, due to disruption and security threats to a nation. Between another possible hurricane threat and the dock workers strike Day 3, stores in South Florida are already starting to empty out.
If you think the super rich people are going to deal with people continuously changing their mind and stuff or they can make a machine to work for the cost of making it and servicing it rather than dealing with people something's wrong with you because that's not going to happen. If you think AI is going to take over while you're right because that's what's going on just look at the device you are reading this on it's all AI it can't even spell anymore but it's getting better and better and pretty soon it's going to have every aspect of human life where it wants it in Rich boys are going to do nothing but get richer by cutting costs that means cutting human beings out of the equation
Union soul, this will take at least 1 month to negotiate but it might take 2 months. The AI (automation) will be the hanging point. The 70% raise over 6 years is only 11% a year that's not the sticking point. The corp will fight like Hell to keep the Automation in Place because they already but million of dollars into that tool. They will be comprise on both sides but not before we see a supply shock that will last provably 3 months, so stock up on TP and Beer :-) This is going to be worse than the govs and crops thinks! Tick Tick Tick !*
Humanity is clearly in real trouble if this goes too far, if everything is automated what will humans do?
Oh look. It’s already over
Great job 👏🏼
All these guys forgot trump got rid of first rite of refusal they shoulda took that 50% pay raise. Now when this is over only half of them will be offered a job on new contract. Then they will mod the contract to insert automation through a subcontractor
I've seen some of his speeches, I feel this guy is on a power trip. This one is mild from what I've seen. They were offered a 50% raise and he turned it down. Right now they make 100-200k a year.
You are the man .
In life you should always maintain 30-90 days supply of can/frozen foods, and paper goods. You should also have 90 days worth of money to support your family saved up. Plan your life get off the devices and take responsibility for yourself and your family STOP relying on the government you are pawns in the political arena!
People need a sense of purpose to get up for every day. I’m not a fan of mass automation. Sure those machines need maintenance but that fairs in comparison to the jobs lost.
So no bulldozer go back to shovels?
No lawnmower go back to syths?
No cars go back to horses?
Computers need maintenance I am a fan of pushing software to computers that is needed instead of installing it on hundreds of machines. Things like Dhcp rather than a static IP. From a computer sense of automation. I don't want to manually put an ip address in 5000 computers.
My father used to manage a Pillsbury food plant located in the Midwest years ago while I was in high school. The union wanted to come in and unionize plant. At the time, my Father resisted the takeover and we actually got threats from the union during that time. My Father's employees were happy and were treated great without a union. The union vote failed.
Why can't I like your latest 2 video
As long as I don't run out of toilet paper, I will be good. COVID taught me that. But I am scared because my Cottonelle says it is made in the USA but from US and imported materials. So will the TP supplies dry up?
Yeah the Bible yes the Bible is coming true right before our eyes and even these TV so called preachers don't even get it
Let's call it what it is, it's Greedflation. People want to get paid more to do less. They all want their turn to bend the working class over.
Watch as prices go up on goods and services that aren't even imported. They'll get a raise when I get a raise, maybe I'll go on strike too.
If consumers boycott those imported goods dock workers won't have jobs. We're all in the same boat, but there's always some SOB trying to rock it.
For those that are confused as to what really going on with Iran, Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Russia,...oh, and Lebanon..tune into "Redacted" here on youtube. Real journalism. You are being gamed.
New technology doing away with jobs is nothing new and not going to change.
Really do you still want to be using a horse ?
The more automated it all becomes the less business they will recieve.... if people cant earn money we cant spend it.
Basic income, which will limit your spending to basic necessities. All part of the plan.
These workers are a bit heartless to do this right after 3 states got wrecked. All they're doing is helping automation along.
Lol... what president? And Im not sure this is the "Surprise" hillary alluded to.
The way everything flooded probably earthquake
Dam bombs
Sorry they make 150k to 300k a year! I wish I can make that kind of money!
Dear Jesus, please calm the storms of our lives.
Planned chaos
From what I understand dock workers actually make decent money already. To do this in such a time of need is heartless and greedy. This move might actually speed up automation. Robots will not walk out on you.
Having been a truck driver then an electrician down here in Florida yall really dont need us else the numbers would reflect it freight rates all time low hourly pay all time high but no hours all the work gets put on the salary guys. Im just saying these shenanigans are bad enough to where it makes me want to re enlist. So im currently losing weight to do so.civ life is pure clown world and its sad that it makes sense when looking at it from a crazy persons perspective.
That old guy sounds like a mob boss. I mean he’s right for the most part, but the fact that they knowingly get up there knowing that they are helping destroy, the supply chain is a complete joke. It’s sad.
I recently sold some of my long-term position and currently sitting on about 250k, do you think Nvidia is a good buy right now or I have I missed out on a crucial buy period, any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks will be appreciated.
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of
information can be a big hurdle. I've been
making more than $100k passively by just
investing through an advisor, and I don't have
to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my
finances remain secure. So I really don't blame
people who panic.
You seem to know a little about a few things to sound like you know what your talking about to those that know less than you. You group unrelated things in order to plant ideas in views heads and hint that you have some privileged insight into matters you do not. Dock workers chose to strike now because their contract expired now. Both sides knew this was upcoming and there was time to come up with a solution but the owners refused to offer terms the workers found acceptable. It is both sides right to do so under the law. Not all dock workers make 100-200k as stated in the comments in fact few do. The owners/operators have seen over 400 billions in profit, they would not even feel the impact of the increase. Their last contract was signed in 2019 and the increase they are asking for is to be out over several years, not all at once. You are either pro union or you are not. You can not say you support the workers/union then ask the white house to force them to accept a bad deal as they see it. I am pro union. I support the workers.
If he isn't part of the mob I don't know who is
Union guys: I make the fries. You want the fries? Pay me $65/ hour. McDs: I see. Goodbye! Replaces union lazy ass guy with robot.
The answer is to limit use of automation
Pray to your God Donald Trump. Isn't he your lord & savor.
Did the automation build themselves
