@@forestwhitehead Good to know! I've heard a lot of negatives about his Drip plugins but this one does look interesting! But his content is pretty dang good though
A video that is almost two years old, and still relevant for Pop Country today. A small part of me is tempted to pick up Studio One everytime I watch you work. Then I realize that I really don't want to learn a new DAW platform to get the same WAV file at the end. At some point I need to pick up the phone and give you a call to see what is going on in that head of yours. It's that or one more drive to Nashville (which is always a win for me).
Your content is great-professional and concise. There are SO MANY “UA-cam” producers that have various opinions, but your methods just WORK. I mean, you operate in the industry full-time-and have produced quite a few hits! Best channel out there. Thank you, Forest!
Bro I’d literally come to Nashville just to work with you. I use reason 12 in San Antonio, but I’m learning I’m more of a singer and guitarist than a producer. This channel is my new favorite!
The plug is great as well.. the parallel trick can be applied to in the box plugs as well! I do feel like the color you hear through this hardware is why people still invest in it.
Well we are very similar in vocal processing I run the signal through 2 stacked CLA 2A from Waves with no gain reduction at all, then light CLA-1176 on the channel and parallel compression with another CLA-1176 on a parallel channel. Sometimes my parallel channel is a waves LL-16 multi band limiter that distorts nicely. I would love to have a hardware LA-2A. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. Awesome tips and suggestions. Q. Should one put the plugins (reverb, echo, delays) to a send track and not on the vocal track itself or a bus track? Your reason please. ✌❤
Id keep my bgvs in the box and probably not as much parallel if any. I just parallel the lead to make sure it is present and cuts through the mix. Ill do a video on this.
Love the sound you get! I use S1-5 myself... I've never stacked reverbs or delays like you are, but it is something I need to start experimenting with. I wish I could afford outboard gear and have some of the capabilities you have here, but I'd love a video showing how to do this kind of processing with stock plug ins (and a few of the more attainable plugins we all have access to. Is there tuning on this track as well?
did your parallel comp have been at the end of the chain? how can you decide how much reverb delay and other put on the vocal? or you corrected alls sends after last send to parallel comp?
Sorry.... talking while the singer is singing... its like my mom and dad, if the cannot wait to be the first one telling me the news of the week. I only hear "DJHBDSJVÖKALJHBDJHBKJLALJHDKJ".
The secret isn't the post processing, the secret is how its recorded. This channel seems like a giant sales pitch for daws, plugins, samples etc. Same ol same ole. BTW, you jiggle like a bowl of jello when you wiggle (dance?) in your chair.
@@2cthetruth you’ll have yours coming. It’s just not my place to question your opinion. You’ll get it one day. Or maybe you won’t. It takes all kinds! You’re just showing who you are.
Ayyyeee using the Kyle Beats plugin - you like it?
And yeah that parallel compression is fantastic. Amazing how much color that adds, too.
Kyle Beats video SOLD me. haha.. It's pretty sweet. Not saying other plugs wont do the same. But its presets are pretty inspiring.

@@NathanJamesLarsen Haven't tried the drip plug yet. This one is definitely an easy button for different spaces.. It just makes everything bigger.
More video on vocal mixing please. Thanks alot
This was awesome, glad I found your channel!

Fantastic tips! Thanks so much. I already knew I loved that LA2A but now I realize I need one for myself :)

Nice Forest! Sounds great man -and just picked up the X to try on this production I'm working on!

killer. thanks so much.
Thanks for stopping by. You're welcome.
Wow
I miss your videos brother
Awesome tips - would like to see this now blended with some background vocals and how you process those. Same chain?

Can we get a video on how to set this as a template?

Hi sir a lottle help do you record vocal with compressor in it or just raw.
Is that Brett James singing?
Good ear!
Hey forest want a videos on gainstaging
Nathan sent me here
Glad you stopped by!
Hey do you offer a mixing and mastering service?
Anything for voice over / dialogue 😀
Forest can I have the lyrics text of this song?
did your parallel comp have been at the end of the chain? how can you decide how much reverb delay and other put on the vocal? or you corrected alls sends after last send to parallel comp?
Can you explain how you use and route to hardware in S1?
I for sure can do that!
How is your outboard stuff wired to be able to use it as a "PLUG In"?????
Hii .. did u make ur vocal send to parallel bus before or after delay?
How many plugins should i add to the send channel
and why is not bus channel
I'm new in studio one 5
Only pipeline xt on send. It could be a bus channel. I just don’t plan to send the signal anywhere else so I keep it simple.
How do we work together?
Where can we find this song?
