Thank you for saying Jin is sometimes underappreciated. Yes. I was like lots of people, didn't notice him when I first watching/listening BTS. Like most people, I was draw by the younger line(JK, v, jimin). But the more I watch them, Jin just really grew on me. The more you know about him, he shine through with his beautiful personality. And also his whole appearance, at first I just saw he looks great but not very memorable. Then the more I look, hes like magical, I don't know how to describe it lol. And the weird thing is he looks much better in those random fan pictures of live concerts than studio photos. I heard people saw him in person said he's much handsome in real life. Like surreally handsome. lol sorry too much about Jin's look. Quickly add I love his voice a lot too. His voice has strong passionate emotion, I found myself always react the most to his part in random repeat. And I love all his solo songs. About this song there are many explaining vids, but I wouldn't recommend to completely believe any one of them. Not mean those vids not good, they are great, but their songs are not just written by one person, though RM wrote majority lyrics. But still, it contains many idea and meanings from different people, not about just one thing. The only person who really know what it's about, is the writer, everyone else just all guessing lol. So don't feel pressure, we are all at same level of uncertainty.

Spring Day is iconic. It's an inside joke that every time BTS does anything, Spring Day is on the charts again. It's also hasn't left Korean charts since it's release and is the longest charting song in Korean history. That being said, the video is notorious bc Hobi doesn't have lines except in the post-chorus with Jin. In the live version, he takes RM's opening lines so that he has something to perform. It's a pretty vocal part for him. And the choreo for the song is so so beautiful and Hobi is center a lot so that kind of makes up for it. You should def check out a live performance. Their other MV song in this era (Not Today) left Jin out through basically the whole thing so 2Seok was really slept on for that particular comeback. But they still manage to shine. :)
This song usually chokes me up or makes me cry really hard. The first time that I watched the video, before I knew the lyrics (other than "I miss you") or the relation of the concept to the ferry tragedy, it tore my heart out. I assumed that the train represented death, and that the boys were all reuniting on their way to the afterlife, away from the pain that they found in life, missing and trying to find each other as each of them passed away. D'x I've heard people say that the song sounds happy, but I hear nothing like that; it just sounds melancholy and filled with longing to me. And the visual "happy" moments are really sad as well (to me), because it feels like it's only surface happiness, and that the boys are covering up their inner feelings, or that they can only be happy when they're together, and it's like a distraction for things that are causing them pain. T^T Just a good video, but it gets me every time.
You know you're true ARMY when you start complaining about the lack of lyrics/screen time for Jin!! Luckily this has gotten a bit better over the years (like he got almost NO screen time in the Not Today music Video), but he is still seriously underrated.

If you think you didn't hear Hobi's part, he's in the background vocals on chorus part which is so beautiful. The live version was different because Hobi started the song and have some other singing parts..
