Intercooler air: Hinge the front valence instead of Cutting holes. When the car is moving, the wind will blow the valence out of the way. When the car is not moving it will look stock.
I updated the eBay link. The previous one was for injectors from China, this one is for the Latvian injectors, which are the ones that the Sloppy guys have been using. There are also some from Panama that should be OK.
Can you go into more detail about what happened with the heads. I know the verdict on FB is that the Manley valves that TMS put in them are inferior to the valves that would normally be used at this power level. Is TMS going through the heads, or is Mark taking care of them locally?
yeah ill make another video when its together, but like we said in this video, the motor and combo was originally built for like 1100whp or 1500 crank max, and well we were making 1400whp @3500lbs, TMS is fixing the heads, doing valve upgrades, also mark is buying billet crank and rods so we can push much harder
WOW! I love these LS Builds! Great story about the Grandpa Al as well. I like seeing the tradition of motorsport carry on. Thumbs up guys keep doing what you do.
I have a question- on the 67 Mark used Porsche fmics- I noticed somewhere that he was modding them someway. I have bought a set to use but they look like the flow is really restricted on the outlet in the center- did Yall run into that?
well, when you transport the car, you need to plug them, so they dont spin on their own and take out the bearings, also when you're reving everything in the engine bay you dont want to drop anything inside the turbo, furthermore when you are drag racing any restriction or filters will usually cause problems or slow you down. let me know how many 7 second cars you see with air filters.
I understand and it seems normal with your explanation. But i see an enormous amount of peoples, including you, NOT using air filters on a road car. It's totally ,in my opinion,a nonsense, when you spend a huge amount of money on an engine build to not filter the air,it's like not filtering the oil... it will not affect performance that much on the street, you can easily adjust everything, moreover on a boosted car. all high or very high output factories naturally aspirated cars have air filters and it's not a problem,it's even a good thing for a clean laminar intake flow. it's even less a problem on a boosted car. You could improve your intake quality flow by using a trumpet and even more with a good airbox with a frontal scoop on your non filtered turbo intake.^ You have a lot of air turbulences where your turbo seats.
guess the whole "sloppy mechanics" name flew over your head on what to expect from here... you're talking to a man that slams reused head bolts to roughly 15 uggahs from the impact gun to "torque" his heads down after only replacing a single piston out of 8...and it works. theory and actual experience are whats used around here.
Experience do not remove dust from the air for you... Eperience just make you know your engine will blow up before the unfiltered air polish the cylinders. FYI there are a lot of cars with stock 120 hp/L of displacement with air filters (naturally aspirated) Boosted it's even easier.
I have a 66 SS Chevy II that I thought about "upgrading" the stock mono leafspring to a 4 link. After seeing your cars I changed my mind. Thanks for sharing. No questions just commenting. Not to diss anyone in particular but you guys do piss off the high money builders...keep up the good job.
Why don't you and Mark get up with Tom Nelson? Get his recommendation on some hard parts like crank and rods to hold that much power? you know he has the answer, but you do like figuring it out yourself.
There's a lot of Chinese parts on that car for being so fast. It looks like you spend the money where it counts and not foo foo crap. I like your style! I have a RCSB Silverado I'm gonna start building soon.
hey matt i just purchased hp tuners pro on my rpm vs gear it dont read % it reads lb-ft how do i change it and also can i have your truck tune i have a similar turbo and engine need something to get it going till i learn how to fine tune lol thanks
Would like to see you get the old crank and rods. Mark seems to be a rally good guy, and I like the fact, he and his grandfather were close. I think he had to change the subject when he spoke about him passing away, but thanks for the great video. Learned more stuff.
I just noticed that Boosted Boiz have nearly 70,000 more subscribers than Matt. They both make cool videos that are similar, but I guess there's just a lot more interest in boosting Honda's than there is in boosting Chevy's.
Eric Fixalot I won't argue that, but with less weight they don't exactly need to have equal power for the Hondas to win some races. I also think there's a cost difference between the 2 as well. I think someone with less money can boost a Honda and have a fun car, whereas it might cost the Chevy guy more to boost his project.
4g63mark My 93' Accord is 2700 pounds, a 4th gen camaro is ~3300. My car came with 140 horsepower, a 93 camaro came with 275. Power to weight isn't in my favor lol. Anything can be a fun car, but for power per dollar, I'd go with the chevy.
Matt first off hell of a job u do with these videos .. Thx you.. my question is what's the power curve like with the twins mark has on street Camaro vs your truck both seam to make around same power. just curious. love the LS combos building another with vs turbo this time.
were they deleen injectors? I'm looking for some 140# injectors and I found some outrageously cheap deleen injectors that I'm nervous to buy so I don't run lean.
Been watching your videos and I'm amazed at how much power you make on a single turbo with stock internals. I'm a bit intimidated by the computer deal. Think maybe start with n/a and learn how to tune. Been looking for an 04-06 6.0L but guys around here want stupid money for them. I have a 70 SS Elky for it to go in. Keep up the good work!
I love that he uses ebay/Chinese "junk" on a 7 second car. The old saying "you get what you pay for" isn't always true.
Mark seems like a really cool dude!
mark defines "really cool dude" for sure
Intercooler air: Hinge the front valence instead of Cutting holes. When the car is moving, the wind will blow the valence out of the way. When the car is not moving it will look stock.
Good video! Just some friends shooting the shit with lots of info sprinkled in.
I was impressed, then I saw the leaf springs, I'm more impressed
God I love the speedmaster cells!
What specific gages are those?
eBay 210 injectors link?
And what's the fuel pump?
Motor and block?
Sorry for the stupid questions
I'd love to see more about that air to air

Fuel pumps are Magnafuel 4303's
TMS LSX 427
Mike Minnick thanks!
I updated the eBay link. The previous one was for injectors from China, this one is for the Latvian injectors, which are the ones that the Sloppy guys have been using. There are also some from Panama that should be OK.
did he not describe all those things in the video
Can you go into more detail about what happened with the heads. I know the verdict on FB is that the Manley valves that TMS put in them are inferior to the valves that would normally be used at this power level. Is TMS going through the heads, or is Mark taking care of them locally?

What kinda mods does he have in that arctic cat in the corner?
Hey does his fuel cell leak around the sender or the screws? I have the same one and it leaks when the fuel sloshs, super annoying
yes it leaks around the seal
what are the twin air to air intercoolers on the 67? part number or brand? THANKS
never mind i rewatched. thanks
yeahhhhhhhhhhh
Part number for injectors please?

Cool as fuck!
The cars and the dude!
Matt eyeballing the crank and rods ftw! :)
That little sled you got in the corner is where the real power is at. Lmao jk
i've gotten screwed paying for over priced stuff from a shop that races, I love what you guys do
Awesome video! Lots of great info. Thanks Matt & Mark.
Awesome cars...67 is fuckin nice!
WOW! I love these LS Builds! Great story about the Grandpa Al as well. I like seeing the tradition of motorsport carry on. Thumbs up guys keep doing what you do.

the inlet and outlets were funny yes so he opened them up
This man uses turbo intake plugs on the race car and no air filters on the street car.
That's weird logic.
well, when you transport the car, you need to plug them, so they dont spin on their own and take out the bearings, also when you're reving everything in the engine bay you dont want to drop anything inside the turbo, furthermore when you are drag racing any restriction or filters will usually cause problems or slow you down. let me know how many 7 second cars you see with air filters.

Twin turbo LSX Camaros, in PA like me, drinkin' Yuengling bottles. Badass... Yuengling gives me the shits but still, PA beer!
A couple of badass camaro's for sure! Thanks for doing the overview vid.
Wish you guys the best of luck going forward with the race car!
mark is the coolest guy , you guys are the coolest people in my world! keep up on marks cars he is rad
what is that cylinder in front of the trans pan for? I'm not gay neither is he BUT........ If we were I would be the little spoonJFKBoyz
I love those gauges in the street camaro, so much better looking than the autometer/speedhut boring ass circular ones imo.
Great Builds for Gm LS powerplants. matching cars.
wait wait wait... whose trying to get down on some ping pong. clear the table, it's on.
what a/r on these and the new 85mm turbos? Please
That Grand Prix was gettn it back in the day.
yeah he would show up and fuck em up
I was actually about to comment to ask you if you could do this
What injectors are they using ?
I have a 66 SS Chevy II that I thought about "upgrading" the stock mono leafspring to a 4 link. After seeing your cars I changed my mind. Thanks for sharing. No questions just commenting. Not to diss anyone in particular but you guys do piss off the high money builders...keep up the good job.

Hondas suck without boost, but Chevys can make good power NA, that's why.
Eric Fixalot That's certainly 1 way of looking at it. I come from the opinion that ALL applications get a lot more fun when there's boost.
4g63mark That's true but when you start with 3 or 4 times the power, it's going to be funner. It takes a Honda boost just to attempt V8 power levels.
Eric Fixalot I won't argue that, but with less weight they don't exactly need to have equal power for the Hondas to win some races. I also think there's a cost difference between the 2 as well. 18:42 !! hell yeah i live on aruba, surpised when i saw that licence plate! Matt you got viewers all the way down in the carribean.
Dude, Awesome Camaro's. It would be a dream come true just to own one as cool as those but TWO. Holy shit man.
like your ARUBA rental licence plate greetings from ARUBA
Pumps are Magna fuel pro tuner 750s
Correct, also known by their part#, 4303.
Drooling
You guys happen to have the part number or dimensions for those intercoolers?
"Rollin' with the shit off safety" LMFAO
what gallon capacity fuel cell is Mark running in the 69?
can you do one of these overviews with the white notch fox body please
I know you get this allot what's the intake part number
can you share the link for the intake plz ?
Before you go out and buy that, know that it's one of the more restrictive factory intakes.
Restrictive or not it’s making 800hp
Super cool - those are some well-built machines.
"if its not broke, dont break it" damn I never thought of that
Matt first off hell of a job u do with these videos .. Thx you.. my question is what's the power curve like with the twins mark has on street Camaro vs your truck both seam to make around same power. just curious. love the LS combos building another with vs turbo this time.
its basically the same
What kinda mods does he have in that arctic cat in the corner?
What kinda mods does he have in that arctic cat in the corner?
No MAF sensor on the 67?
It’s running a map sensor only
Is that rear suspension a Cal Tracs set up?
nice stuff you got there Mark
💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵
What cam is in the street car? thanks
Matt, is there anyway you can provide a part # for the 210 lb injectors Mark is using? When you browse the web there's like 4 different kinds. Thanks.
still kinda not feeling great about handing over the part number, the place i bought it from lost them in the mail...
Just watched new vid. Complete bs man. SIGNED FOR. Lol
No audio, wth?
Is Mark planning to run the leaf spring shootout, or x275, or both at LO8?
i am unsure what class he is going to participate in
Sloppy Mechanics thanks for the response Matt, maybe Mark will chime in and clarify.
were they deleen injectors? I'm looking for some 140# injectors and I found some outrageously cheap deleen injectors that I'm nervous to buy so I don't run lean.

thesxe things are cheap and are still bosch brand. thats legit!
where do you get the covers for the turbos? im tired of using painters tape
i think he has giant fernco toilette covers from home depot
Sloppy Mechanics thank you sir, going to take a stroll around home depot.
what springs on the street car 317 heads ? also what's the paint colour ?
i believe brian tooley 660 platinum's
What gauges were those?
what plugs is the racecar using? I'm using an MS3 and wanna know if there is any interference on a cold ass non resistor plug above and beyond the BR7
NGK br7ef
perfect, thanks. guess the BR7 is cold enough ! have you guys run Ethonal in those CNG's yet?
mark is an awesome dude!
Good people for sure! 👍
Dorman makes those ls6 intakes, almost as good as a real one.
from what i have seen people are blowing them up easily with low boost
Didn't think of the boost aspect.
Been watching your videos and I'm amazed at how much power you make on a single turbo with stock internals. I'm a bit intimidated by the computer deal. yep just get your feet wet just get started
