It is so nice to see a young couple taking an interest in restoring an historical house and making it their own special home‼️

Anyone else totally jealous that they can make changes to their liking that would never be acceptable in America? I love the things they're doing, lots of imagination.

Hi David, please get a push stick for when you are using your table saw. You are going to lose a finger getting your hands so close to the blade. Safety first! This house is a really interesting project and I'm enjoying the videos.

I found your channel by accident and I am so glad I did. The house is so beautiful and to see young people so talented and passionate about fixing it back to it’s glory is wonderful. If you don’t mind me asking how old are you both? I am so glad to be on this journey with both of you and can’t wait to catch up on the videos. Thank you for taking us along on your journey.

You guys are so entertaining while renovating your house 🏠. I sometimes watch another couple that bought a farm in Belgium 🇧🇪 and they're no way as entertaining as you guys. I really enjoy watching you guys

Great job , the old wooden beams are creating a wonderful atmosphere . Perhaps What you could have done is impregnate the old would and treat it for vermin before you reuse it. Especially those large Main beams . Good teamwork 👍🏻

I'm so glad you're using the old timber instead of just buying new, I watched another channel where they're also renovating an old house and my heart broke when they took the wood which was newer than 200 hundred years (probably about 40-50 years old) and it all went in to the garden and was made in to a huge bonfire ☹️ I'm not talking useless damaged wood but good condition and an actual wooden table too, I couldn't believe it but it made think of you both and how everything you have has been lovingly restored. ☺️

Wood is very precious and we need to show respect to something that takes many years to grow! I love the old wood and it's perfectly fine and will be for many more years if taken care of! But we have seen so many renovation channels and TV shows where any material is consider waste and sometimes they switch from old natural way to modern chemical way which is just awful and unhealthy in many ways! I love seeing many people going back to old techniques and the results are amazing and much more long lasting! ❤😊

    • @questionmark9819

@@DoBeDiff exactly, it's precious and should be respected and not just thrown away or on to a bonfire!!! Omg so much waste everywhere and it's upsetting and you're right about unhealthy ☹️☹️☹️ that's probably why you're my favourite channel because you re-use virtually everything plus you remind me of happy times in childhood spent living in a place very similar to your home and huge garden with animals etc. You guys are awesome and can do pretty much anything ☺️ I hope you're proud of what you have accomplished because it's inspiring and lovely to watch your growing home. ❤️

I am having fun going back and watching all you did a year ago. You two are so refreshing to watch and so positive about everything. Where did you sleep while you were getting the first room? It must have been cold as can be.

I was wondering if the roof and the walls up stairs need to be work on. I can see gaps on ceiling and walls. Moisture can come in and damage the the work you have done.

I wanted to ask you something
over the walls the walls are double-walled
I mean whether there is space between the walls if so then if I were you I will spray the in between with PU foam for the reason that it gives you a lot of heat and cold outside then it will always remain the same temperature inside your house think there well think about it because if you have it ready later and you can do it later but you haven't finished the walls yet but i can assure you it's a big difference if you scrub it now and not later because it will be a shame to make holes in the walls when you're done and you've bricked it up
greetings jes gertjan from the Netherlands

You worked so hard on the ceiling. Do you lye in bed an admire your work? I was wonder about bathroom ceiling. Do you think you might need a ceiling fan to get rid of moisture so you don’t get mold in the room or your insulation above? Maybe something to check after a steamy shower if any moisture is on the plastic. I would hate to see you get black mold after all your work. Not easy to clean up and you can get very sick.

The ceiling in the bathroom is nice but I would like to close up the gaps, the moisture might be a problem, i would like to get a fan but it's a bit hard to conect it as the room is in the middle and doesn't conect to an outside wall! No idea need to figure something out

You are so lucky to not be in the USA and don’t have the building and code informant agents coming to approve or disapprove your work. It has to be to today’s stander even if it’s an old house you have to redo everything to modern code. It’s so much better how it is in Latvia. If it’s solid you can do what you want. Hurry for the old ways.
The new ways r good but way to complicated.
