Hi Julie, I'm having another go at the blue badge from another angle and am realising that when that is sorted I think things will feel better. You're right, Pete was never going to get involved with the animals but now he is laughing along with them!! The quilt is coming along quicker than expected because a fourth row would make it too big so I am on the way to the other corner now. The sock pattern for the toe up was The Umbrella Sock by Kay Jones. I knitted two fewer rows on the heel for my size foot but it was all easy. Thanks for joining me for a chinwag. xx

I understand how you sometimes feel. I get that way too and my husband know right away and asks why I'm grumpy. Well, I'm not really grumpy, but it just like you said. I joke it's because of chocolate or lack thereof. But seeing the glorious fall colors helps alot. Oh that squid was amazing. And so little. I kept thinking, wouldn't that be a fun color way for a skein of wool, and the next picture he was a different color. Neat. The bird mittens need to match your hat, which is absolutely gorgeous. I would use that excuse to buy new wool. And they go so well with that nice coat. Thoroughly enjoyed Pete's bit. What an interesting life. And we're only up to 1965! Thanks for sharing. Feeling much better now, the sun is gorgeous today. It's true we all feel frustrated at times! I couldn't imagine learning to drive with a ten ton tipper truck with a 100ft drop! He still didn't have his licence when I met him but only needed one lesson and passed. See you monday morning!

I have made some project bags for friends as Xmas presents. They think I'm 'sad ', but hope that they like them, putting homemade soaps in as an extra addition. Your quilt will be glorious as also your hand-knits. So warm & cosy. Loving chat with hubby, he's a gem. Times were hard in those days, no health & safety. My Dad had a Hillman Minx, we borrowed it to go courting ! ❤ Waiting to hear about the Army days.
Hi, It's true, some days just feel wrong and it happens to all of us! Happy to say Pete feeling much better and we've been out for our usual walk. Always blows away the cobwebs. Receiving a project bag as a gift I think would be so special especially with handmade soap - don't listen to them!! I've measured the quilt and realise I don't need a fourth row so you see I'm on the home straight now and that feels good! I'll tell Pete you did your courting in a Hillman - I love the connections we all make. Army days next week. xx
