Miami's growth although slowing is impressive considering the entire Metro is land locked between the Atlantic & the Everglades. There is no room to sprawl anymore so it's growing through Infill & high rise developments.
@@xoxxobob61 miami's sprawl will likely continue to the north, and then will snake its way north and eventually westward, , although it may not be considered as miami when it gets too far towards lake okeechobee and the US 27 strip out westward, and up north to Stuart, connecting everything eventually.
Good Post. I noticed i don't see the top 20 metro no more. New York still the largest metro I noticed Dallas made number 4 which including Fort worth strong growth in population and economics.
ATL is 6.3M if you just include COA/Alpharetta/Sandy Springs? COA is like 500k. How does the rest break down? I’m guessing this of course includes all of itp, Brookhaven, chamblee, doraville, Decatur. What else otp is included in this? Roswell I’m sure. Marietta? Because I thought to get to 6M you’d have to go all the way out to kennesaw or even Woodstock.
Metro Atlanta is a sprawling region of 39 counties. The core 5 counties though, (Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, DeKalb, and Clayton) are home to over 4 million or about 2/3 of the region’s population.
Atlanta jumped two places in one year and is now ahead of Washington D.C. and Philadelphia at no.6. Miami will soon pass Philly as well.

didn't know orlando had 2.8M did you add southern volusia county(Deltona,DeLand,Orange City, etc) and some polk county suburbs?

@@TheSkylineKing Just to add a note Georgia Counties are small in size compared to many other states as well.
@@trevorlongley8995 I think it even included Forsyth, Cherokee, and Hall counties. Maybe even Dawson county.
