I had the pleasure of seeing this band (along w/ Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Agnostic Front) in Detroit in 1992. Great band, great sound, great everything!
I've sung with Rob in South of Resthaven. He and the rest of those guys were the absolute consummate professionals. The most fun I've ever had on stage.
Anyway it does look like Rob. The film is pretty blurry though. But if you notice, on the left he's playing mainly rhythm while Phil is playing leads. Phil's listed as the rhythm guitar through his entire time with MC, so that tracks with Rob being the new guy here.
Rob's immediate known predecessor on guitar in MC was JP Soars. Soars recorded on the album In Cold Blood according to the Wiki article on him, but did not join the European tour to take place in 1997, from which this recording is taken. So the Metal Archives timeline was incorrect; the stage left guitarist in this video is Rob Barrett. Can't be anyone else.
Now, if it wasn't Rob after all, then I figure it had to be the guy Phil said was crashing on couches to have a place to live, and wrote some material for In Cold Blood but did not perform on the record -- Jason Hagan. But then it was JP Soars who'd taken his place on the record, so that doesn't quite jibe. I still think stage left was Rob, and it looks enough like Rob in that blur to be Rob anyway.
I don't know what kinda shirt Rob is wearing but Jason gotta shirt from the band Raw noise. A crustpunk band from the UK with the singer from Extreme noise terror. Not exactly very extreme rightwing if you ask me. Just saying.....
If you were talking about Ryan Taylor I’d advice you to reconsider. Fella toured with Solstice throughout the mid-late 2010’s and recorded for Casting the Die with them and that album rips!!

Tank you for Setlist 👍🏻🤨
MALEVOLENT CREATION !!! 🤘👹🤘🔥🔥🔥
Best name for a show lol gotta love malevolent creations based mentality
It always kills me that people get shocked and appalled that a death metal band is edgy
There's being edgy and then there's being an actual racist.

Still love Rob. Sometimes you can get really carried away with extremely dark humor, but there’s nothing you can do except not do that shit again
Tru dat
Why is joking about raping dead kids fine but saying anything about race or racial slurs too far? This gay hypocrisy in the metal scene is annoying.

🔥MALEVOLENT CREATION🔥🤘💀🤘🔥🔥🔥
Fantastic.
According to my searches, Rob Barrett joined the band in 1998 and the guitarist who played in 1997 wearing this same shirt has been fired as well.
Two articles in Wikipedia I found have him joining in 1997, before Jason was kicked out.

But, I'm still investigating. Let you know if I find something different.

Isn't Jason the one who wrote "They Breed" tho
@@tuuresuomalainen9388phil wrote all the music, him and Jason wrote the lyrics
Rob's shirt says "The Original Boys N The Hood"
they should have played they breed in detriot
Back in 2003, they played Detroit. I asked them to play they breed. They said no. Black people were at this show and they had a great time..

Was that Lee Harrison on drums there? Kind of looks like him
So that was actually Tony Laureano?
Yeah, that's not Lee. I got a better look.
Well that was kind of them to dedicate a song to Mr OJ.

Man they were fucking tight on this show though, the current baldie doesn't hold a fuckin' candle to Brett Hoffman or Jason Blachowicz's vocals.
