- I went back for some more stars in Beta Lobby levels I missed previously. I'm finding it difficult to get real stars at this point, most I see are just duplicates. I start checking out the Parallel Lobby finally but it's very confusing.

Its odd to think they didn’t yet apply the more standard game-over text on the Mario death screen as one of the few to show up, cause its a beta thing, although only seen in the commercials with the smiling pokies as well, that one thing alone though is almost completely blind-sighted by them to include though? Add it already XD

This is probably the playthrough with the most stars I've seen so far so I came to ask:
Does the game truly have a version of the blue creature from hazy maze cave that is aggressive towards Mario? I mean I'm aware the yellow castle has a HMC level featuring that creature but I never got it to trigger an attack, so I was wondering if you ever encountered something like that, and if you did, where?
So I read your comment and went back through all the Hazy Maze Cave's' I've seen so far. I've seen the Dorrie (blue creature) in the yellow castle (Parallel Lobby) maze (apparently named Hazy Memory Cave) but yeah, they're pretty docile. The Uncanny Basement has a HMC(beta) with an underground lake but it's much smaller and there's nothing but a star on an island. The Vanilla Basement leads to the Incomplete HMC which is completely hollow and empty, no enemies or water or stars, and crashes the game sometimes. I'll have a definitive answer eventually, but so far Dorrie doesn't attack the player.
@@JPM7x3 I've tried replicating this on my end too, unfortunately yes, Dorrie remained docile and I sadly never got attacked by it
Out of curiosity I decided to check around the internet and see if someone else had run into this out of curiosity but the only semi-relevant topic I found was this fictional entry on the MIPS wiki stating an entity called "mother dorrie" which allegedly was hostile to the player, the encounter location was at least according to the topic somewhere within the salty salty shore level (assuming such a level exists on the current B3313 build)
Needless to say at that point I decided it was just a wild goose chase and gave up myself, still I appreciate the effort you've done on searching for it, heck all of your gameplay videos are amazing because you're probably the only playthrough I've seen that's employed elaborate techniques like using the camera to clip through walls and check for hidden passages, attempt to interact with seemingly regular dead end walls and whatnot, here's hoping you keep find more cool stuff out there o/
@@R.A.V.S.O.i’ll keep a look out for it next time i go exploring, probably just a myth that has been around since og SM64, however i wouldn’t put it past this game to incorporate it :)

Man I should update my version lol, there is so much new stuff and I feel like I've seen everything 0.7 has to offer
you should! it took me awhile to find it, just add “abandoned version” or “dev build” when searching for it. me and my friend played the new version when he came over to hang out (he went in completely blind, never heard of b3313 but loved sm64 growing up) and we played for hours getting lost in the castle. one improvement is that after beating a painting or dying in a painting, you get kicked out of the painting as opposed to spawning in the red death lobby or the hallway.

@@KingSlimeProductions yeah, I had to remember all the paths I did to go back once I entered a level and abuse the save state when I accidentally entered a level I was already in.
Good to know they fixed that.

usually when you die in the castle mario is sent back to the Vanilla Lobby. if I want to get there faster I might burn my mario to death.
