I’m probably going to buy this at release due to the fact that rugby games need to be supported otherwise no major video game companies will ever pick the sport up.
Good to see you jumping codes for a hot minute brother. Interested to get your thoughts considering you've put many hours into RLL4. I feel like a lot has carried over. A player gets tackled and holds the ball like league and then 3 or 4 seconds later the breakdown arrives. Its like they have just added the breakdown on top. I noticed even some league sounds in the game like the buzzer.
There's definitely elements from older League games. Alot more than what I thought

One thing i will say is the general visuals look very good and the atmosphere, they get the gameplay right in the coming months and I truly believe it will be a very good rugby game.
I agree, I still have high hopes for the end goal.

PC Rugby 08 with mods is still the goat. The og Rugby Challenge (and 2 with the right sliders) was prob the closest weve gotten to matching it.

Great insight from you bro, sort of feels like features are locked especially on defence and breakdowns. The stats of the players are clearly all averaged out with forwards with same pace than backs. As @bearsgamer says with your RLL4 knowledge your insight would be great

I don’t know why they would add in rll 3 mechanics, which we had to wait over a year for this, really disappointing. Looking forward to some up coming patches on the game later in the year

They reused animations from the rugby league games, they didn’t even have the decency to add new animations. We are in the year 2024 video game companies can’t keep getting away with this shit man 😭.
The thing I like about rugby league live,Madden and Rugby08 is that nearly anyone can play it. Rugby is a complicated game I get it, but making rucks,mauls,scrums etc even more complicated will drive people away. Rugby games in recent times have been terrible in terms of their controls and gameplay . This is exactly the same

Does the physics like running and passing feel like rll4? Rll4 has really good game physics
It actually feels more like RLL3. More on the arcadey side.
Add ware n tear where players get injured and affects their stats where you choose to sub or keep eg elbow injury affects fending etc,…rucks and malls more thought put in to the mechanics!!! Few good options off lineouts!!! Hope they read this lol
Honestly if this was a free demo I'd be a bit more hyped for the game coming out later but im still open minded to how the game will pan out
I agree. I still think it'll be one of the better Rugby games we've had once they get the ball rolling with development
@Odd1x People complaining that they focused too much on licensee but this is honestly more than we've ever gotten in a rugby game since 08 so it's definitely a welcomed step in the right direction.
I actually hate EA for not making n rugby game but every other game they do
The one guy talk about being a rugby player in the passed but they let the game out with tackle technique thats not even in rugby union.
Absolutely ridiculous how bad this game is what have these guys been doing there isn't even muscle on these guys forget the socks and still these players can't attack or defend some one else win the lotto and get EA to make a game

Gotta remember this is just early access, and there'll be updates every month I assume.
@@Odd1x the game mechanics are similar to that of the free Rugby app on my phone. I don’t feel like the game will change that drastically for the full release
Always good to remember this was meant to be the official 2023 World Cup game, lol. At this pace, it won't be ready for the 2025 WC, either. 😂

Rugby League 4 with no tackle count. Not impressed
I really dislike when games like this have really slopping slow passing. The AI needs improvement too. Passing shouldn't be that difficult.

Far out man, these fullas need to put the effort into the gameplay and flow of the game rather than running around getting scans of all these players. I would way rather nice flowing gamplay with semi realistic player movements/animations rather than all these licenses.
Why do we have to do to get a half decent rugby or rugby league game !!!
