"United there's little we cannot do... Divided there is little we can do"... Man, if only we could have a president like that rn, forget the parties... that'd be beautiful
I mean, a president can say that whenever he wants…the key is actually to do the thing.
Vote Kennedy!🇺🇸2024
vote for vivek then.
We did, we had him (JFK) and he didn’t play ball with them and do whatever they wanted him to do so they killed/assassinated him! Just like they’re fvcking with Trump now, the people that are really calling the shots (the incredibly wealthy elite) do not want a president that is going to help Americans prosper or empower Americans. I remember learning about JFK and all he had accomplished in his life and then seeing the Zapruder footage of the assassination and a bunch of other videos from that day too and thinking “WOW WTF!! How could they do that to him, and to Jackie as well!!” And will never forget hearing family members that were alive back then say that “the day JFK was assassinated, was the day America died!” That our country has only slowly gone to hell in a hand basket since then, driving us closer and closer to chaos and communism. This may sound morbid but I’m glad those relatives passed away before we got to the point we have in the past 10+ish years cause I have no doubt they’d be losing their minds!
63 years since he's said that... Wow. If only he can see what's going on now. He'd shed a tear. He was a man ahead of his time. Made me proud to be an American, but today I am disappointed being one.
“Ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.” My first time hearing this quote and it comes literally right after his most famous of all 🤨
I'm an offspring of an immigrant. Wish I could have served like my brothers. I love this nation. I wish no one would receive a folded flag. I wish I could do more for my country.
@@lorenzovonmatterhorn4756 do u understand we don’t go to war to defend our country it’s to defend the interests and profits of the elites of the world ? Essentially you’re signing your life over to a country that doesn’t care about human lives only money and greed ..
It is truly scary when an American politician shows up on your nation's doorstep and says; "I'm from America and I'm here to help."
Ask not what your student body president can do for you. Ask what you can do to your student body president's body
The greatest Presidential inaugural speech of all time. This was recorded on video tape--a new invention at that time!
murdered by ben-gurien
I'm 22, and I'm african American. This man inspires me so much. It's a shame how politics don't conduct themselves like this anymore.
Rest In Peace Mr. President
I hope one day you’ll receive the slightest bit of justice.
“The rights of man come not from the generosity of state, but from the hand of God”
A time when people believed in God and His merciful blessings
... but from natural law ..... there is no God!
@@user-sp8eb6iz7f i pity you man. Very sure you have no peace and contentment in life
@@KlaudiaGanancial I still have the "Tooth Fairy" and "The Three Little Pigs"...

I think school children need to see this to understand what is still needed.
The message today is, "Ask not what your country can do for you" But what you can do for illegal immigrants. " The LEFT would have thrown JFK under the bus.
John F. Kennedy - One of the greatest presidents in U.S. history.
He really was great
Let's carry on his legacy with his nephew. Kennedy2024!🗽
@@ianstein7603 he's now endorsing Trump
His speeches were mind blowing.💯💯💯
"To those old allies whose cultural and spiritual origins we share, we pledge the loyalty of faithful friends. United there is little we cannot do in a host of cooperative ventures. Divided there is little we can do--for we dare not meet a powerful challenge at odds and split asunder."
This is my favourite line from this speech. Grazie Presidente. Viva la pace, viva la libertà 🇪🇺🤝🇺🇸
What PROFOUND words ,
What GREAT conviction ,
from a TRUE leader …
God rest his soul .
Peace ☮️
I can't believe this was 62 years ago. How time fly's.
Great human..I hope he rest in peace.
i live in DC and often visit Mr Kennedys resting place, to pay respect, he was a hero in every way!
The message today is, "Ask not what your country can do for you" But what you can do for illegal immigrants. " The LEFT would have thrown JFK under the bus.
Massive respect. I live in England, but need to see JFK's gravesite. I love that President.
The accent is not difficult to understand, the message is crystal clear to assimilate and the democratic spirit is a must to follow - a unique speech from a legend of the century
My hero for ever ...I am french and I was 13 ya when he said "We shall go to the moon before the end of 70th....WHAT A DREAM !
thank you to you Mr President for eternity
A great man and a great president. America was fantastic with this man as president.
I enjoyed listening his speech I loved it a lot even his quote too and I wanna say Congratulations John F Kennedy for becoming our 35th president of the United States and to his wife Jackie for becoming the First Lady of the United States these two are my favorite I like them a lot and I think that these two were so happy in heaven when they heard when they became both President and First Lady of the United States And I wanna say I’m proud of you two for becoming our President and First Lady congratulations you too
Still an impressive speech more than sixty years later! When the values of a free and just world were still standing firmly. Compare the energy and articulation with todays open corruption and greed. Every young person must see this speech, full of hope for the future
I find it disturbing. He's The President of the United States, not the world. He has no business addressing them.
I Totally AGREE🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
We will have a political class with this level of integrity. All we have to do is understand and care for each other, and our leadership will be the product of our brotherhood. God bless everyone in this nation and the world.
RIP Kennedy. Still one of the greatest
😢
I have been lobbying various uploaders to include the Oath as part of the upload and finally it's here!
CBS News cameramen provided the best footage of this glorious moment and day!
Thank You CBS News Archives!🇺🇲
So unfair his life was cut short..he was only getting better! A great President! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I like how the camera constantly pans over to Eisenhower who seems pretty pleased with the situation. Not sure if it’s because he’s impressed by Kennedy or if he’s just happy to retire 😆
He was a good president also. Things weren't nearly as hostile between the parties back then. Both the Kennedys warned about communism back then...
OMG..... WHAT A VOICE........GENUINE......UPLIFTING.......AS CLEAN AS A BLUE SKY....!
He really was great men
A great president 🇺🇸
I am never tired of listening to this powerful and electric voice that truly touches every human soul and heart. What a speech ❤❤😂😂
Bro his accent is insane in a cool way
If you like Cuba pronounced as "Cuber"...
The men during that era spoke with a passion and a purpose ,not with slack or disrespect.
The men of this era respected themselves ,had a deep love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a love for their families and country.
This is the way!
@@Bianca0414 accent has nothing to do with that, go to Boston and you'll hear it today
@@zoeslounge95lol you sound ridiculous. He means speaking in a dignified manner. Bostonians definitely don’t do that.
The Kennedy's are so cool. Kennedy2024 for president!

Quote by PRESIDENT JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY ~
"If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich."
What a history!!!
It’s Been 62 years! R.I.P JFK! ❤🇺🇸
The best speech that I have ever heard. This speech was not only for America but the for the entire free world. The torch has been passed to a new generation which will also enlighten the ways of upcoming generation. President John Fitzerald Kennedy was truly a peaceloving and patriotic figure. From my heart, I respect this great leader.
Idk why we don’t celebrate him more he deserves a day got dam it he’s top 3 president that this country has had hands down idgaf if nobody agrees 🫡🇺🇸 give him his day !!!! 🤬 ✊🏼
We don't publicly celebrate JFK because the same people who he warned us about the secret societies and the mafia his brother fought against took him out. They took over the government and they want to oppress anything that our president JFK stood for.
They took a real one. Masterful with the words like Pac.
Heart touching speech ever!
It's been over the 50 year time limit since his untimely death, and the US still refuses to release all of the information they have on that tragedy. What is the government hiding, and why?
It will be 60 years this November.
The CIA and FBI had him murdered because he wanted to abolish the federal reserve
@@captainchaserman7148
That whole Oswald capture, and how he was led thru the basement with crowds of people around him gave me real pause. And given the corruption in both the CIA and FBI, I would not be surprised one bit.
Watch the documentary Everything is a rich man's trick it explains the mystery.
It was the Cia and the industrial military complex he was putting them out of business
It's sickening he lasted only 2 years in the white house. There would of been more great things if he lasted more than 2 years. Rest well to one of the best presidents in our life.
Unparalleled orator.
What majesty!
I'm not left. But, Kennedy was a beast. Democracy ended with him. Rip
He was our president and the US government resented him for that
The only great democrat that spoke about peace and abolishing all poverty
Well said my friend. Be safe
I can listen to this great man's speeches over and over and .............. over again. I may sound ignorant here but I have to say that this man possessed immense knowledge and intelligence. Other than President FDR, no President came close to President JFK.
@14:21, even President Eisenhower was impressed.
beautiful! Both sides look for peace. All peace starts at home. ! goosebumps
Wow! Kennedy was our first president who wasn't born before 1900.
I know right
Great Archives speech of all time!
This was a great man
Careful with words, it was written for him. But delivered with incredible power.
And with belief. Speeches may have been written for him but he believed every word and he may have had a hand in writing them.
Jfk wrote the speech with help from Ted Sorensen
It's said JFK wrote his own speechs
But he didn't and it's no secret. A great book I highly recommend is Richard Goodwin's Remembering America: A Voice from the Sixties. He joined Kennedy either before, or just as, his presidential campaign began, and served in the White House as well. He then joined Johnson's administration writing speeches for time before leaving. Also, Ted Sorensen as mentioned above, wrote many of Kennedy's speeches. Make no mistake though, Kennedy edited these speeches thoroughly, meaning he struck out certain words and phrases and placed his own, so he had a hand in writing, and certainly approving, the final speech.
I was a youngster when President Kennedy was our president. I miss him so much. He was assasinated and i cried and cried.
What a dramatic Swearing In Ceremony!
What a glorious moment in our Nation's history.
God bless America 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏🏽🙏🏽💗💯
Really?
The last democrat that cared about America.
Not limited by political dogma, but sought for the very best for all Americans. Never will be another politician like him
@@exempligratia101 Yes indeed, well said sir.

Our Greatest President. RIP JFK
This man's picture hangs proudly in my house...Best president ever...could you imagine Trump trying to recite a speech of this magnitude...it will never happen...RIP JOHN F. KENNEDY..
Its election year and came back to kennedy's speech . He truly represented the American Spirit . Let us not forget this great man and his patriotism.
We were robbed of his greatness by own own fearful and corrupt government
This speech could have been written by Shakespeare , the greatest English poet , as perfect as it is❤
Christ bless John and rest in peace in heaven. Amen 💪🏻💯❤️❤️❤️
That freaking hair! Him and Reagan had the greatest damn hair.
Andrew Jackson had the most epic hair
Outstanding! I saw this speech live from the Boston area, when I was 7 years old! I remember clearly this speech, especially the part, “Ask not..what the country can do.. ask what you can do for your country!” I have 2 great attachments to this speech! Today, due to the events of 1968, I am a staunch Republican! Since 1972, I have NEVER voted Democrat in a Presidential Election! But my Great Grandmother was a Kennedy and my Uncle Bernard Herlihy served as a Chaplain under President Eisenhower, when he was the NATO Commander in the late 1940’s! President Eisenhower and Vice President Nixon are the heroes in this story! For Joe Kennedy, through his political shenanigans, stole the 1960 Election in Illinois and Texas! But Nixon chose not to contest the election and let the results stand. He deserves great credit for a “Profile in Courage”! John Kennedy had his faults, but this speech shows that he was a great man and a great President! I commend him, but not his Dad!
Great film clip. I don't believe I have ever seen the opening 20-30 seconds or so of this film. Maybe I've never seen this precise film at all, but the beginning is both new and poignant to me. The gentleman at the very beginning, and who continues to show up prominently as others (JFK, CJ Warren, LBJ) pass in front of him is James R. Browning, then the Clerk of the Supreme Court and the person charged with holding the Bible while Kennedy took the Presidential oath. He was the last Clerk to serve that role. Thereafter, the First Lady has always held the Bible. Browning was nominated to be a Circuit Judge in the 9th Circuit later that year, two weeks before I was born. Years later, in 1987-88, I clerked for then Chief Judge Browning of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. He looks so wonderfully young in this clip.
That was a beautiful speach president Kennedy, I look back in time see how the way presidents keep it ordinary and perfect we need more presidents jfk
Some say this is the speech that won him the presidency
He was already elected president. This is the inauguration speech.😮
Please don't tell me you vote. Because you shouldn't.

Happy 62nd anniversary to John F Kennedy’s Inauguration Day

Pretty cool the Hats in the background!!!
"Ask not what your country can do for you - ask why is there a glint coming out of the book depository" truly inspiring, what a guy.
A great speech writer with the voice of boston accent creates delivery perfection
"Victory" Done Within The Laws Of Love! ♥
What a glorious moment in our Nation's history.
The ClA has a lot to answer for.
YEA!!!
So does the Mossad
So I ask, would there be anyone who after hearing this inauguration speech equate this to something we would hear today? Would these words come from the mouth of a president so enamored by himself as to disgrace the presidency to be impeached twice and later convicted of crimes? The answer is no. Are we as a nation so blinded by hate that we may not see the truth that stands before us? Let us go forth and be a nation of one, great and true, to bring peace to the world for those who have given the very sacrifice for which they intended. These words, spoken by a man who gave his very life for the truths he believed in, are before us. What shall WE choose?
And the sad thing is that their dreams never came true.
Not fully..but look where the world is now vs 1960. So many advances on disease..poverty...civil rights. He did say maybe not in our lifetime but eventually.
Awesome speech Mr President. The Man of the planet.✨💫🌟⭐💥❤️💜💖
Sure could use him today! Use to have both of the Kennedy albums. His death altered history.
I was so proud of JFK but this clip also brought sadness to me because I think what we have turned into.. However, with all my heart I believe goodness will win over evil and for those who have lost their way, perhaps they will remember what we stand for and understand our Country is the bright light, particularly in the darkness, for the world to always have hope we will survive. We encourage people to have differences so that we can compromise and improve life in so many ways. Let the majority be served and let the minority remind us what they stand for and formulate a plan of slightly different values to that we can also consider what we believe is the best for our people.
And, we must remember the world is shrinking and events taking place which cause harm and danger to people globally must be the deep concern of free people in foreign lands. Every situation can be dealt with as long as fair minded people seek a solution. Politics should take a back seat! An effort second to none must be the top priority of all nations and organizations to do even more to support the rights of human beings wherever they are.
I did not ask ...I just did it 🇺🇲 ✌🌎
Honestly, name one current politician that can give a speech like this. I think Obama was the last one who inspired people like JFK did.
I think we need another JFK to lead our country.
Chris Wallace said Biden’s 2020 inaugural speech was the best he ever heard
I can say Trump did that too. He didn't inspire all of American citizens, but he did inspire his supporters to believe anything he said and do his requests.
obama💖💖 caroline kennedy said many people told her, when obama was running for his first term as presidenr, that he inspired them as her father did all those years ago. he may be gone for almost two generations now but JFK continues to inspire and continues to be admired.
@@T00THY_0RiFiCE I agree with Chris Wallace(and he has heard a whole lot more political speeches than I have!) it was absolutely stellar, it was exciting and it had such incredible strength and immediacy.
I have listened to the President's January 6th one-year commemoration speech again and again. And, with the possible exception of Hakeem Jeffries speech on the floor of the house two weeks ago, it is a speech like no other we have ever heard. Both of those speeches were brilliant, delivered by brilliant Americans
@@RAINMAKEEER that's not inspiration. That's lying and gaslighting. Big difference.
