- Today I show you the strategy and hunter build I made for meltdown trials of osiris. This build is made with checkmate trials in mind. We have more abilities focused on enhancing our gunplay as that is the focus in checkmate. Our dodge gives us a quick reload which is perfect with our smg playstyle. I kinda like frost-EE5 for this mode. It almost mitigates the cooldown increase for your gamblers dodge, and as long as I use it next to an enemy, I can get my melee fairly often too.
That sounds like a great build, next time the mode comes around I'll have to give it a go!

Explosive payload is what's causing you not to be able to three tap. It happens with HC as well. Great video Blink bro.

Traveler's Chosen are kinda godsend on checkmate mode. Secure a kill and slurp the light soup. Helps me to regenerate my abilities faster everytime.

For the 120 scout not 3 taping. its probably bc you have explosive payload on. even 140 handcannons don't 3 tap with it for whatever reason. I could be wrong on that for the 120 scouts. but I would assume its similar problem.

Interesting. I also use blink shinobu's in trials. It is so much fun but i didnt think it would work as well in the checkmate mode
If you play smart with the extra nade then the pressure you can put on the first couple rounds is great!

@@alaskayoung3413 Le mon is just as scummy as wishender. Really any bows ruin the game whether it's checkmate or not. Low skill players flock to them because they do massive damage and then their better teammates just pick up the kills.
They need locked load out and ban certain weapons in checkmate if they want people to use primary weapons. They’re too scared to commit to anything because they’re trying to appeal to everyone. Enjoyed the video.
Yeah I agree, bows and non heavy GL's have no place in a competitive environment. But they have always tip toes on stuff like that instead of addressing and fixing it.

Teleport+2 Punches is unreactable for checkmate T2K. Keep it to 3 punches.
I agree scout should 3-tap head, but to compensate make them 7-tap body
They should straight up remove the wallhacks from Wishender, or remove the bow entirely, or double its charge time. Wishender does not belong in PvP.
Peacekeepers should not give ASD movement speed. And SMG's should be same range as sidearms,

@@RogerBlinks what if they just disabled all exotic weapons to make it fair for everyone that way no one player feels singled out because of something like Wishender or something equivalent in the exotics? Legendary equipment only type set up?
@@KizashiiLovesRamen It's an interesting idea but not the right direction in my opinion. I like the idea of blocking out certain weapons' but to me what needs to be done is no bows allowed period.
Not playing checkmate, can’t use my g roll rose with explosive payload because trashcan bungie didn’t fix it you can’t 3 tap with explosive payload, it’s unreal.

Absolutely 200% facts! Bungie literally enjoys trolling us. I’m sure of it at this point. Trials and PvP is full of cheese currently and it’s beyond annoying. Half the matches in 6’s are nothing but threadling spams and freeze fest. All abilities need to be tone down big time. Bungie said they wanted to focus more on fun play but then went the complete opposite. It’s makes zero sense. There’s too many one shot abilities and near death abilities. For example. The warlocks can kamikaze in a lane/around the corner and use the arc melee ability and take out anyone in its path. Titans do the same thing with the solar slam from consecration. The wishender is a great bow. But it should be able to do wall hacks in trials. They took away 3 peeking when was great. But they allow wall hacks. But Everyone on an even playing field and stop allowing the cheese in the competitive activities. I’m sick of it at this point. I got into trials pretty heavy about 4-5 seasons ago. Now I don’t even bother trying because it’s just stupid ability spam, snipers, and wishenders. Great video. I’m glad to hear another great player and streamer say this out loud.

The ONLY gripe I have with checkmate is bows. Bows need to go. So tired of people using netlimit with wishender. Bows should not have wall hacks, infinite 2-hit ammo, and unlimited range.
