You've only done 5 states on your 50 state tour in a year and half. Is it over Jake? It was a good looking girl that took me down on my 50 state journey but I did make it 12 states when I started in 1975. No youtube just a journal. Met this girl and my dream came to an end. I Don't regret the marriage but I do regret not finishing my dream. Which I was living through Jake. Maybe someone else could do this. I'm 60 now, hope it comes soon.

Looking at the comments it seems I'm far from being alone in missing the 50 state road trip. I have never contributed financially so my opinion doesn't matter as much as others but.. Jake I understand you're on a vacation off grid where you rarely have time to edit and upload so I won't be too harsh. This trip has been pretty long already, I think maybe you should have warned your viewers and patrons that the videos would slow way down for a while. And maybe you did do that, I just don't remember it. I think you should get back to the near-daily uploads of the 50 state trip as quickly as possible.

sure didnt take me 3 years to see 50 states, I drove, walked, hiked, climbed, experienced all that i could, and while he might have that the aspiration to take that on and get to that goal, he got lost in Mexico and lost a lot of his supporters while doing so. He continues to make excuses for his change of plans. It's what he's doing it's how he's doing it if he wants to change everything up because he met a girl, then do it but man up and be honest about doing it, dont try to manipulate your supporters into thinking they're still on this journey... thats my main issue here, he wants to drop a video on here every 3-4 weeks and act like he's still on the same trip, its more like his life took another direction and he's smiling and lying about that, which only makes him look like the fool, because a lot of us see right through it. If he had made videos leading up to this baja stent to prepare his audience for it, explained how long it would last, the situation with wifi, set reasonable expectations, it would have gone a lot smoother for him. Hopefully he's enjoying the journey and learning from his choices.
I wish to believe it isn't quite so evil by plan, but a change. I really enjoy his road trip posts, even if excruciatingly slow of late, because it was a nice guy on an interesting quest and I like the fact that he is serving our country and also is a fellow Jeep guy. The meat and potatoes here is: he's essentially a paid entertainer. Patreon pledges often fixed his Jeep, contributed food and supplies, and many still give financial support for the 50 State Road Trip. I don't get that he's independently wealthy or working his way around our nation, but Patreon pledges are what keeps the journey afloat. Patreon support is waning. Comments reveal he is disappointing many previously loyal followers. No money = no road trip and no wanderer lifestyle. I hope he course corrects soon. To those who might view such posts as hating, You're wrong. It Hoping. The vast majority of us fully encourage the 50 state road trip we've watched for well over a year and wish Jake, Izzi, and Annie safe travels and happiness.
He served his country, we should all thank him for that but he also stopped serving at least a year ago with no word of it on his vlog and has ignored all comments and questions associated with why he is no longer serving, other than the obvious reasons we can conclude, another reason many people feel he is misleading people to get money. Looking at the comments it seems I'm far from being alone in missing the 50 state road trip. I have never contributed financially so my opinion doesn't matter as much as others but..
Jake I understand you're on a vacation off grid where you rarely have time to edit and upload so I won't be too harsh. This trip has been pretty long already, I think maybe you should have warned your viewers and patrons that the videos would slow way down for a while. And maybe you did do that, I just don't remember it. I think you should get back to the near-daily uploads of the 50 state trip as quickly as possible.

You do you, Jake. It's your channel and your life. Don't listen to the vocal haters and hangers on. You're living the dream. When others choose to live vicariously through you and your adventures, they don't get to dictate. Most of us will be here, though all the good, bad and everything in between. To those of you that seem to be unable to do anything but complain and criticize, walk a mile in Jake's shoes and then you can talk.🙄
sure didnt take me 3 years to see 50 states, I drove, walked, hiked, climbed, experienced all that i could, and while he might have that the aspiration to take that on and get to that goal, he got lost in Mexico and lost a lot of his supporters while doing so. He continues to make excuses for his change of plans. It's what he's doing it's how he's doing it if he wants to change everything up because he met a girl, then do it but man up and be honest about doing it, dont try to manipulate your supporters into thinking they're still on this journey... thats my main issue here, he wants to drop a video on here every 3-4 weeks and act like he's still on the same trip, its more like his life took another direction and he's smiling and lying about that, which only makes him look like the fool, because a lot of us see right through it. If he had made videos leading up to this baja stent to prepare his audience for it, explained how long it would last, the situation with wifi, set reasonable expectations, it would have gone a lot smoother for him. Hopefully he's enjoying the journey and learning from his choices.

I wish to believe it isn't quite so evil by plan, but a change. I really enjoy his road trip posts, even if excruciatingly slow of late, because it was a nice guy on an interesting quest and I like the fact that he is serving our country and also is a fellow Jeep guy. The meat and potatoes here is: he's essentially a paid entertainer. Patreon pledges often fixed his Jeep, contributed food and supplies, and many still give financial support for the 50 State Road Trip. I don't get that he's independently wealthy or working his way around our nation, but Patreon pledges are what keeps the journey afloat. Patreon support is waning. Comments reveal he is disappointing many previously loyal followers. No money = no road trip and no wanderer lifestyle. I hope he course corrects soon.
To those who might view such posts as hating, You're wrong. It Hoping. The vast majority of us fully encourage the 50 state road trip we've watched for well over a year and wish Jake, Izzi, and Annie safe travels and happiness.

He served his country, we should all thank him for that but he also stopped serving at least a year ago with no word of it on his vlog and has ignored all comments and questions associated with why he is no longer serving, other than the obvious reasons we can conclude, another reason many people feel he is misleading people to get money. Hoping he learns from this situation and makes things right with the people who have supported this lfiestyle he's living.

iamjake Hi Jake I have a 1997 jeep wrangler tj and I couldn't be happier with it my dad gave it to me after he sadly got deported and I hit some trails and I was just amazed on how it preformed. KFStreich my Best friend lived there for six months courting his to be wife and he said his stomach was jacked up for six months but it got use to it.

Idk why people are so caught up on the 50 state road trip. Yeah it is an aspect of his channel but the main thing is him living in his freaking jeep, which he is doing! I personally find Baja Mexico really interesting and it looks awesome. The road trip will pick up again when he is done. Chill out.
Everyone here complaining about his change of plans... who cares?! Jake is doing what he wants and seems happy so why is everyone complaining? you're obviously still here watching his videos... I would love to live so simply without the 9-5 bs every day! Sitting on a remote beach in mexico sounds amazing right now. Keep doing what makes you happy Jake, and the true supporters will follow.
