loved this gameplay, i bought the game yesterday and played it with my 8yo, now i know how the expansion (or extension) works and will play that today, we really love the simplicity of the game but it does give a challenge building your hand, very good game that is also a great value.
I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying Mycelia so much! 🍄 I enjoyed the "introductory" cards but I think the game really shines once you add the slightly more complex cards to the mix! Simple but still thinky and challenging, just like you said! ☺️
Hi Dave! I just wanted to let you know that i finally got my copy of Mycelia after watching this video you made awhile back! It's such a delightful game, me and my husband are having a lot of fun with it, thank you so much for the recommendation!!
I’m so glad to hear it! It is a fantastic gateway game-and I love that the game comes with a simpler card set and then some slightly more involved cards you can add in as you feel comfortable! That’s always a great feature for younger players! ☺️ Thanks for checking out the playthrough!
That's a great question! You made me second-guess my interpretation of the rules for a minute, but Gwydion only removes a dew drop when the tile is *flipped* to the Remove side. The designer clarified this in a forum thread on BGG: "You only remove 1 dewdrop from Gwidyon when you actively flip the tile onto the remove side (either due to his cards, or your cards allowing him to move). You do not remove more tokens while the token stays face-up. In essence, it's a 'every second flip, remove 1 dewdrop' token." Thank you for the clarifying question! 🍄 (I'm actually thinking about playing it solo again tonight since it's set up on the table already!)

I am so happy to hear it! It’s such a fun and charming little game! 🍄 How many times have you played it already? I’m up to 17 plays since December! ☺️
A beautiful game 😮
It really is!! 🍄
Such an attractive game. An interesting puzzle as well!
It is such a pretty game, and I love that it works as such a great introduction to both deckbuilding and that 2D spatial puzzle like you said! 🧩
You sold me with this solo play! Love the theme and seems like a great gateway deckbuilding game! :)

Finally someone got a very good Video Like that
@@Jackstitch23 Thank you! ☺
This looks really fun
It’s a great one! I’ve played it 17 times already! 🍄 Thank you for the comment!
Looks like a lot of fun!!
It is a lot of fun! Mycelia is such a cute, relaxing game! 🍄 (Except for when it gets really tense toward the end!) 🤣
In Mycelia (gem removal game), can you hire multiple fighters on your turn if you have enough leaves?
Yes! And if I remember correctly, you refill the available workers after each time you “recruit” one! ☺️
Do both fighters begin in the next three card hand?@@BoardGameDave
Yes! All gained cards go straight to the top of your deck! 👍🏼
Shouldn't you have removed an additional dew drop on Gwydion's first turn, since the chip was Remove side up?

@@BoardGameDave Ahh that would explain why I lost so quickly haha! Might have to have a rematch with Gwydion now!
@michaelemerson570 Haha, I guess so! 🤣 Yes, the solo mode is not quite THAT hard! 🍄 Good luck with the rematch!
