you gotta talk about Kwon and his group bec they're up and coming! the vibes, the comedy, the sceneries, the insanely good golf they play are unmatched even by good good right now
I am an example of the narrative. I've watch Good Good since before Grand Horvat made his first guest appearance. I used to love their videos. Now I'm bored and I don't make it through them. I watch Bryan Bros, Micah, Grant, DOD King, etc. So much good content out there.
no body else does challenges that grab your attention like good good. Yes those other guys are good but most of them are just playing straight up golf. I can watch normal golf any day on the tour but these unique club challenges and stuff are not an every day thing.
Being completely honest, I find the professional game tedious, outside of the majors. I just can't be bothered to seek it out on the tv. I watch 98% of the golf I consume on UA-cam. Good Good, GM, and Luke Kwon are my staples. I know Grant's a super nice guy, a good player with a beautiful swing, well connected, so he pulls big-name guests, but I just find his channel boring and overly serious. I'm never going to play competitively, but I appreciate what it takes to do so. Meanwhile with Good Good and Kwon and his crew, I get fun & games, incredible golf course videography, camaraderie, goofs, and competition, along with highly enjoyable personalities and some very talented players. It would take the entirety of the PGA Tour turning to the Bryson model to make me care who is winning on a week-to-week basis. I feel like I know Bryson, and George and Wesley Bryan in some small way, and that motivates me as a fan. If the Cantlays and Schauffeles of the tour are how we see them on tv, I'm just plain not interested.
I’m 40 and I have a bunch of good good hats and shirts I also play their ball and have the putter. I have people come up all the time when they see the good good putter cover and ask if that’s a good good putter and ask if they can see it.
I’m almost 50 and I enjoy watching Good Good as well as GM Golf and Grant’s channel, etc… I know I might not fit their age demographic or whatever but I don’t care about that. I enjoy watching videos where everyone is having fun on the course while also playing some good golf. It’s entertaining. Golf doesn’t always have to be about televised tournaments and big majors. Just because there’s serious competition doesn’t mean there’s anything fun or entertaining to see. That’s basically why I enjoy UA-cam golf creators. They’re just more relatable to me as a golfer, even if it’s not my age range.
Good Good will never fall off so long as they don't get away from their younger audience. I've yet to meet anybody around my age (30) that enjoys the exaggerated antics of Good Good but I still wouldn't bet on them falling off before they're ready. I always enjoy seeing the little groms at the range in their "Good" hats.
I’m sorry but good good is boring now, same same! What Luke Kwon and the his group (taco, tooms and sam) are by far more entertaining!! You have to check this group out! Great quality golf and incredibly humorous entertainment
Lol.. I’m 45 Nate and I’ve been subscribed to Good Good since day one, the George Bryan and Brice Butler days, and I never miss a video. In my defense I still feel young at heart 😬
@@onyonder7244 yes..he was going to be. He was at the very first good good trip when they went to Desante bay. He and Brice both. But for some reason their schedules didn’t allow them to commit. I think George had just had a kid and that’s what made it hard for him. In fact.. during that same week Garrett and George played a 1v1 against each other and Garrett beat him. He probably couldn’t beat him now, but he did then.
I love watching lots of different golf channels. I see so many people pick a side and then argue about it. I don't pay attention to it. I found a lot of different channels through Good Good. I tuned into the featured group coverage to watch Bryson this weekend and Brad was doing analysis on the official USGA stream. I was stoked for him. I may be older than their target demographic, but love watching their videos and am thankful for what they have done for the future of golf.
Good Good is arguably one of the main reasons that UA-cam golf is as big as it is. Garrett was the initial driving force behind the brand. Kid is a genius. Been a fan of his since the OG GM days and also Good Good since George and Bryce were in the group at first. Bubbie brought a new excitement to the crew and adding Grant was a genius move. During that 2 year stretch, they couldn’t miss. Things got weird when some guys left but the brand never stopped growing. In the weird patch, the content dropped a bit, not much, but a little. The videos in the last 6 months have been awesome. Brad is a star. Adding guys for videos like AJ, Blake, Big Mo, and more is really cool and makes for great content. Here for it from here on out.
Who are your top 5 content creators? Mine are Grant Horvat, Bob does sport, GM golf, Bryson, Luke Kwon with special mentions to Good Good and Bryan Bros.
Totally agree with that point Nate GG will always have that younger audience which will stay millions of views and older guys will outgrow them it is what it is. I’d rather watch Kwon and the Bryan Bros and Grant but I’m also 35 yrs old. I don’t know how else to say this but GG content isn’t mature enough for me anymore
I’m a big time Good Good fan. But the biggest quality of golf and UA-cam golf production is Luke Kwon and Tacogolf. Those guys don’t miss. They’re great golfers and play some of the most beautiful golf courses I’ve ever seen. And they’re absolutely hilarious.
Personally the videos seem to have gotten very stale for a lot of folks, including myself. I think the biggest thing is that now I’ve seen all of them play on other channels like BDS and Foreplay, and it makes the GG channel seem like a PG rated gimmick and totally hinders their personalities. The key demo is probably male, age 16-25, but they won’t even curse on the channel. Nothing is more cringe than a grown man saying “frick” when you know on other channels they’ll curse. It just seems kinda phony. That being said, I think the merch and brand is great. Have a hat and hoodie, and it’s probably the highest quality hoodie I’ve ever bought. Very impressed. I’m also really looking forward to the live tournaments/events.
@@justinshadix4623 no that’s just one of the examples. It all comes down to them putting on a show that seems disingenuous because they act way more free on other channels
As a 34 year old still competitive amateur player, good good has lost me at this point. Nothing against them; they're just not entertaining me and my golf interest anymore. BDS, Luke Kwon, and the Bryan Bros have been doing it for me. Different kinds of content, and I am definitely not GG's target demographic. GG is adaptive as heck thats for sure. So many things could have derailed them, but they have kept the upward trend going. Good on them. It's ok not to watch, but still like what they do for the sport.
Nate Dawg i actually just celebrated my 93rd bday and i watch GG! In my early 20s and late 30s GG was all the rage but this was during the Prohibition years so it really was a big thing for my generation. Over the past several years GG gas lost a bit of their luster but that’s because my dear boy Grant was banished from the program! I also like whole milk in my cereal to Yankees! Ya babyyyy yahhhhh
Bob Does Sports is the only one channel I never miss because it makes me laugh every time. It’s entertaining on so many levels. If I want to watch quality golf, then it’s Bryan Bros, Busta Jack, and Horvat.
@@carlosmolina292 that may be true but i was thinkin more of compensation…they film and travel alot and if youre not the core guys that started GG and u get income from not just the videos but merch as well u might feel like youre getting underpaid for the work u do…
Brad seems quite comfortable. They need another guy near his level for balance. They should also fold a couple women golfers in to increase the demographics.
Their recent view numbers picking up are down to the Good Good Cup - the last time they did this at Paynes Valley was the most popular content they'd done. The subscribers rise is because they're verbalising a target in their videos, and targeting those watching but not subscribed.......rewind to when Rick Shiels did this on their behalf in their first UK collab. He hammered their promo in the push to 1m subscribers, and they got nearly 200k subs in under 3 weeks.

I stopped watching GG when Garrett decided to stop playing at the level he’s able - seems at times he deliberately plays poorly. They all just good off and have crappy golfers on - it’s really declined.
