New meta is gonna be passive/defensive play. Given that anything except breathing now costs ki why bother going to your opponent and draining your Ki, when you can just sit back, charge Ki, and wait or spam blast attacks. Basic movement like dashes or just flying around costing Ki was already annoying before this patch, and with the Z Dash now costing 2 you can barely engage in a fight while having 3+ Ki to do a skill after your combo. Not to mention that footage is starting to pop up that proves the theory the live game is an older (all be it stable) build of the game, and thus we were beta testing the game at launch.
You missed a pretty huge one when talking about Custom Battle. The cutscene editor is completely broken in this patch because half the cutscenes don't let you edit the character's poses anymore. If you try and change a character's poses, the drop down menu will be blank and you can only use the default fighting stance with no option to change it. This pretty much makes much makes the whole mode unusable for anybody who uses cutscenes in their custom battles.
Unfortunately they introduced an even worse problem which needs to get fixed asap. Furthermore I wish this game would get more offline content like sim dragon universe or other neat stuff
Give it time. Content takes longer to develop than fixes, and fixes should be the priority in the months post-release. The game's only been out a couple months, I'm sure we'll get content updates once they've addressed the biggest issues.
I just love how it’s not only incredibly good balance changes but also additional content. The new camera is a very nice new option to have and it’ll be fun swapping between the two. The free super counter on revenge counter tech was already there before the patch, I remember doing it on training mode (at least) but never really tested it online, I'm 99% sure that it is not new.
They broke it, making it even worse. Since you basically can't immediately fly to your opponent, cause this move costs half of the whole ki bar everyone is just keeping distance and spamming ki blasts. Whoever has less starter hp or who is impatient enough to try flying towards the opponent loses

First I wanna say that this really is an incredible patch and im extremely happy about it. With that being said, there are still a couple more issues that id really like to see resolved and then there's more things on top of that id like to see but the 2 things im going to mention are things that i believe are still very big pain points. Super Counter and Perception. These 2 things definitely need nerfs/adjustments. Im not sweating the time frame. If these can't be fixed for another 2 months, ill be just fine but these 2 things do need be adjusted at some point. My hats off to the devs on this patch. They did a great job. Theres some bugs that need to be fixed but im sure they will be and some of them very quickly.
I had a match where the opponent in the last few seconds killed my second to last character and my last character appeared with full health. It was such a good match that it made me feel shitty.
I think the turning of insta spark from 3 to 4 is an indirect buff to Bardock because his was always 4 and now you might as well not use any other instant spark other than his because bardocks is truly instant while the others take a second or two
There is tech to counter the elevator strat; you have to time a dragon dash at them and smash them out of it, it looks like. I've seen a couple of channels show this counter. Not as easy as it sounds and should be unfortunately, but it's something.
I know it's unlikely, but what if the full life recover after a transformation in the last 60 is NOT a glitch but a feature? We're talking about an anime that basically invented the "character that's almost dying or giving up the fight suddenly transforms and gets ULTRA STRONG out of nowhere" trope. I wouldn't 100% discard said possibility, since Sparking Zero aims for the highest anime accuracy possible.
It does matter though; if you could deal enough damage to kill their character, that would stop the fight there. With the health glitch existing, they can live to fight longer, potentially hit you with a super, and take out your character or pass you on damage dealt.
I didn't know they nerffed the step in during vanish wars for sword users. That's awesome! Now we just need to nerf super counter and perception and maybe revert the sidestep changes they made.
Not really a fan of dragon rush costing 2 ki bars but i got used to it. My playstyle has certainly changed because of it using a lot of rising in my movement now
I dnt see anybody talking about that new glowing effect you get like in bt before you used to get it randomly an it seemed like a bug but now its more consistent an imo makes the game look better
Vanish fix surprised me in a good way, couldnt of done it any better. All the fixes were good, I still wish insta sparking could take longer to activate tho because it still op and saves bad players from losing if they hit one lucky ultimate
I mean It definitely improved a lot. Afterimage strike is history. No one uses it now. But people just spam wild senses now. Rank is still busted though. Maybe have every character in rank have the same amount of health bars.
Theres some weird camera agle shenanigans going in when doing continuing a combo off of a lift strike where the camera zooms in.. Im not really a fan of that so im hoping they fix it. Small gripe but I wanted to mention it.
They nerfed the heck outta Galactic donut and I'm happy. That move was one of those hit you in a nano second type moves fought against a Buutanks and he tried it and mannn slow as a turtle now they nerfed it hard.
I love super counters. Get people actually interacting with their opponent instead of just memorizing a combo and turning it into a single player for a bit.
Majority of these are fixes and concepts that should’ve been there day one lmao. 5 years of development and we’re still working out the gameplay mechanics. UI and UX needs major improvements as well and not even mentioning the amount of missing costumes
@ it doesn’t matter if people abused things if they were tested and balanced in the first place. This game is still in Beta but rushed out and people like you willingly look pass it’s blatant flaws for validation of your favourite series.
They need to fix characters with kamehameha supers when they beam clash. They get stuck in an animation that leaves you wide open when you win a clash with a basic kamehameha that doesn’t occur outside of beam clashes. Idk if it affects other beams but it needs to be addressed.
It's because you are using boost; it drains out and you have to tap to recover. If u use less boost or no boost, it does not happen unless u have the item that makes your blasts/ ultimate use more ki.
One thing I want is movement buffs, I feel like everything is too slow. Short dash shouldn't cost ki, but allow us to chain short dashes and have THAT cost ki. Dragon dashing is still way too slow imo. The z-burst being 2 bars, I think was unnecessary, but the new movement option still needs more speed too if flying across the map is much more costly. Would be nice if you could cancel Z-burst mid flight by blocking.

Not to mention that footage is starting to pop up that proves the theory the live game is an older (all be it stable) build of the game, and thus we were beta testing the game at launch.
Me, who's never gonna touch this game again after getting the platinum: "Wow these are great changes"
Maybe I'm being a bit picky, but it would be sick if their hair had animation movement while powering up to transform. 0:18
Thank you for making me notice that everytime now🥲
Unfortunately they introduced an even worse problem which needs to get fixed asap.
U forgot the big issus that so many pc players has wich is the error that won't let you play the game
I just love how it’s not only incredibly good balance changes but also additional content. The new camera is a very nice new option to have and it’ll be fun swapping between the two. And all stages in Split Screen will be great for when I invite my cousins over during the school holidays
Z Search buff is a gamechanger for local multiplayer
I’m glad they actually rolled out a big patch cause it’s a lot of work to go through all the coding and adjusting then replaying the game and then going back to get it good it’s barely been a month also
Well don’t go up to Windows 11… unless you want disconnects during Every. Single. Match.
“Fixed” is mildly generous
cant play since release smh
@@Roccazh YUP....Im never ordering another pre release game again. Lesson learned
what really gets me is the "elevator tech" what kind of bs lets you just fly up and down and avoid everything with no counter???
This patch did not fix the game if anything it’s damn near unplayable now
Facts its Sad! The new camera angles feels too congested. I keep getting 3 hit combos while trying to do rush attacks/ rush attacks are dropping. I might have to drop this game if they don't fix these bugs. I been on this game hard for this last month. I can't get jiggy wit this ish now lol
@ I can’t get jiggy with this shit either before the update I got all the way to A1 rank and was finna go S rank then u tried player matches and this shit feels different and I don’t like it hella stupid shit is still happening and there’s still spam in the game
Thats a fact , globzu glazing it HEAVY with this
this patch is the craziest thing i have seen in a long time. They fixed nearly everything in the game that really was annoying/bothersome or out right game breaking for me. Definitely will play the game agin soon
Still haven’t given us the bojack movie gohan variant
Does anyone else notice that character seem to get some strange lighting affect to them during battle in the patch?
was stuck on low A in singles pre patch, within the same day of the patch i hit S5. its glorious
Did you even try the new dash? 🤷♂️
@@blackskulldud57players want to ZBD and mash square rather than use the new dash and then win the neutral 😂
People ain never happy man, lol. I swear they complain like the devs aren't listening@@mugen4516
I called that skill issues
@@blackskulldud57 yeah, I spend all my ki to get to the opponent and cant win vanish war without ki

I promise in less than a week yall will be back to full 100% complaining lol
Complaining got us this legendary patch and holds devs accountable. Dumb asf comment ong.

I think the turning of insta spark from 3 to 4 is an indirect buff to Bardock because his was always 4 and now you might as well not use any other instant spark other than his because bardocks is truly instant while the others take a second or two
Bro I like there being multiple options for countering and escaping combos
There is tech to counter the elevator strat; you have to time a dragon dash at them and smash them out of it, it looks like. I've seen a couple of channels show this counter. Not as easy as it sounds and should be unfortunately, but it's something.
Honestly learning combos seems less and less required and more of a waste of time considering it’ll just be interrupted
Doesn’t fix the lack of good single player tho
😂😂
You forgot to mention every time they lose a health bar they say a lil unique interaction
I wouldn't 100% discard said possibility, since Sparking Zero aims for the highest anime accuracy possible.
btw the worst thing you can do now is that 20 hit combo in sparking mode then ulting will literally cut it and do a 4th of damage
Don't touch super counters! That balances the game. Who the hell wants to get stuck in a combo.
Plus it's super hard to pull off.
4:00
I thought he said "Zebra Stache."
They added a bug where if you switch or transform in the last 60 seconds you get all your health back
let's go i can play with my friend without having to looks at the freaking time chamber change the whole time
The health glitch doesn’t matter.
Health pool isn’t a win condition.
Overall damage dealt is the win condition.
It would still be good to be able to, you know, kill your opponent.
Now we just need to nerf super counter and perception and maybe revert the sidestep changes they made.
did they update the graphics? for some reason they feel different
Globku please make emote delay and broken skyboxes known. And the ults don't always hit if you knock them up
Not really a fan of dragon rush costing 2 ki bars but i got used to it. My playstyle has certainly changed because of it using a lot of rising in my movement now
I dnt see anybody talking about that new glowing effect you get like in bt before you used to get it randomly an it seemed like a bug but now its more consistent an imo makes the game look better
Have a good fight in DBS Zero. Hope to meet you there. 🐉🔥💪
Oh did they? for what i understand, speed impact was messed up during the update. i can't win against piccolo during the tutorial
The good thing about the DP Battles glitch is that hp doesn’t determine timeouts anymore, damage inflicted does
So your opponent healing is actually a good thing because you can deal more damage. I hope more people realize this.
@@uncanaldejuegos7056they won't. This community is filled with casual players regardless the cheese and then they will complain
Haven’t seen a single Broly or android 19 or 20 player. Amazing.
Thank you! People who hate super counters can't super counters lol
@Elon153 it just needs to be like bt3
Majority of these are fixes and concepts that should’ve been there day one lmao. 5 years of development and we’re still working out the gameplay mechanics. UI and UX needs major improvements as well and not even mentioning the amount of missing costumes
No, they finished the game play mechanics, but unfortunately, tryhards and sweats abused them, and in this update, they changed it up a little bit
what is UX
@ it doesn’t matter if people abused things if they were tested and balanced in the first place. This game is still in Beta but rushed out and people like you willingly look pass it’s blatant flaws for validation of your favourite series.
the missing costumes are barely a factor when you compare what else they can fix in the game...
Working on 180+ characters ain't easy buddy especially during the Covid era.
@ I just tried it without boost, still happens. Idk if it was like that before the patch, but it needs to be fixed.
@@misterpopo4974 gonna try it myself tonight and see..
