      Hi there @vassilis331! Thank you for watching and subscribing! to answer your question, yes you can run a milled/modified slide cut for a CO of your choice. Just know that whatever cut you have done and optic chosen needs to fit in the IDPA box specific for CO and make the weight requirements. Also, Stipling is allowed in CO and ESP. hope this helps!!

    Great video. Can you have a comp on your pistol for carry optics?

    • @PaulGee

    Don't you think the IDPA regulations are a bit outdated with comparison to what is being produced nowadays? Regarding Stock Service Pistol Division (SSP) I have found that most of the brand new pistols: Sig Sauer P320 Legion (43.5 oz (1.2 kg)) , P320 X-Five DH3 (43.5 oz (1.2 kg)) or P226 are either too heavy or too wide. In addition some extra futures which are introduced by the manufactures to make our life better might not be allowed. I heard some people cut a bit their grip to let the gun fit into a box 😞

    • @PaulGee
      @PaulGee  Рік тому

  • @pete-mz9vr
    @pete-mz9vr Рік тому +2

    CDP should be allowed to run optics.

    • @PaulGee
      @PaulGee  Рік тому

      Mag capacity would definitely be an issue with only 8 rounds.

    • @pete-mz9vr
      @pete-mz9vr Рік тому +3

      All divisions should be allowed optics. Regardless of mag capacity. The future of the shooting sports is optics.

    • @PaulGee
      @PaulGee  Рік тому

      The optic division evolved from ESP, however enthusiasts such as yourself began experimenting with other divisions which are now evolving as well. But you will just need to follow the ESP requirements with your favorite gun, until a change may occur.

    • @pete-mz9vr
      @pete-mz9vr Рік тому +1

      I do not see the logic allowing optics with single stack 9mm and not CDP? Again...all divisions should be allowed optics. There is no need for evolving.

    • @PaulGee
      @PaulGee  Рік тому

      Single stack 9mm is capable of holding 10 rounds is why. To run an optic with a CDP gun is a great idea, but you will have to do it with an 8 round disadvantage. Therefore, I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t other than that? As for allowing a Specialty division in CDP, I’ll inquire with IDPA about their thoughts for you. Stand by.

  • @koozville

    Gave this video a like because it is very informative and presented very well. Coming from USPSA, IDPA seems to have way too many nonsensical rules that restrict the sport. 10+1 capacity in what is essentially the open division of IDPA? Hard pass. Again though, video was awesome, sport seems dumb.
