The school shooting ones are on point. None of us understand why you just don’t send the gun lobby packing and make your schools safe. As someone else posted on a meme with the cutest child ever on it saying ‘you must love your guns more than us kids’. It damn near broke my heart. So the bits about guns here were brutal but sadly true. We are all waiting and hoping for the day when you actually do something rather than hold memorial services.

We wouldn't meme on Americans so hard about gun control or shootings if the country hadn't turned it into a complete joke through decades of inaction and exponentially increasing mass-shootings. But that "annoying kid who thinks he's popular" school meme is 100% accurate!
For context first, I am Australian and have only done research, I haven't been to America in a while, but it's a lot harder than people think for the PEOPLE of America to make change, not politicians. One of the major loby groups in Americais the NRA (National Rifle Association) who provides a majority of funding for political candidates. If a party decides to go anti-guns, they'll stop supporting them meanwhile the other party will most likely stay with them for the money and win, the winning party will always be in favour of guns. The people of America have been trying for a long time to attain greater gun control laws but it will never happen, not of their own fault tho

You mention "free" anything and they've been taught to call it "commie" or "socialist".. You say anything about gun control the people cry "freedom" and rights violations..

The joke about yoghurt and culture, I used to hear that joke when I lived in the UK. Only it was directed at we Aussies.
I was thinking that we're one of the last people to have a go at a countries lack of culture.
But Australia has such a huge culture, especially as a multicultural country (I’m Australian)

It’s called humour. Australians love to make fun as part of our culture, it actually means acceptance. If it’s about the gun control, mass shooting keep increasing, no action being made. Therefore, the world and Australians laugh at you :) have a lovely day!

"The guns thing gets a little old".. the opposite of the American schoolkids.. - If it wasn't still going on and even getting worse, I would agree - but jokes/memes on CURRENT things have to be CURRENT - and thats just one sad part of the meme collection thats still current.
Yes the plastic money is correct - once grabbed $2,000 out of the ATM - I was paid monthly (I would pay rent & bills immediately). I had moved home for a month & rushed home for a quick shower to go out. My mother accidentally grabbed my shirt whilst I was in the shower then saw all these $50.00 notes in the washing machine LOL. I walk to my room as my parents argued over this money. I dressed & walked out to see $50 notes pegged to the clothesline LOL. I grabbed the notes & counted out $600 for my parents then rushed out.
I dunno about these jokes, my go to is healthcare.
That's one of the few things stopping me moving to the US. Texas or Alaska for preference.

The only issue with America is everyone's right to essentially be right or the lack of the ability to tell others that they are wrong as it infringes on their rights to have an opinion. America is viewed as the mentally disabled kid that we cant look away from or stare at because its rude, so we have to act like everything they do is acceptable and join in so they don't feel isolated when at most times it isn't. Thus it creates trends which have major affects on quality of live globally due to the influence that America holds as the standard to live up to in life.

Australian here, I’ve been in the US for the last 8 weeks, before Easter I was surprised that in one of the last Theocracies (US) Easter isn’t a 4 day holiday! Anyway, I mentioned Easter Buns, they’ve never heard of them, but a lovely woman looked up a recipe and baked us some. I’ve got to go now, I’m going out the back to shoot a couple hundred rounds from the pistols in the house.

Yeah it’s too soon but then again it’s always too soon because nothing gets done to stop it. I keep saying I’ll just do the ‘thoughts and prayers’ shit but I still get so damned angry that once again some poor innocent kids and staff have died because no one has the balls to say ENOUGH and mean it.
It looked like some of that was hard to get through for you. Honestly growing up I dreamed of going to America, living there. These days I say to my wife, we'll go there when we're 60, that way if someone randomly shoots us for no reason, at least we've lived a good life.

As far as I know more kids commit suicide in Australia each year than are actually killed in school shootings Stateside, but then again more kids in Australia are probably knifed to death too.

What a champion you are Ryan, You have gained lots of people's respect, and my respect too. In general, Australians, are pretty decent, they don't like people berating others, and they find it distasteful. Through your posts I have learned so much about honest, decent USA citizens like you, all countries have good and bad in them, The US, sadly, has caused damage, deep damage in the world, but it has nothing to do with its citizens, it's all about the people you choose to lead the country, the ones that could control and stop your military, your generals, stop fighting other countries wars, most times the citizens don't ask for foreign help, but politicians have big pockets and the US has billions to buy them whenever they want to benefit from wars because all wars are nothing but business and profits. Many people have been hurt, so they do anything in their power to berate countries that have caused damage without realising that not everyone is guilty, but just a few, the ones that rule. Most of the USA doesn't know what The USA has done in the world, the only ones that know it are the ones who have lived through it. I am one of those people, please don't stop, keep entertaining us with your comments, we love them, and we need more North Americans like you showing us the other side of the USA , so far there has been so much negativity about the USA, especially citizens with guns, intervention in wars in foreign lands, excess religious fanatism, and lack of knowledge of the world, show us the good side of your country and I am so sorry you had to hear those silly memes.
The US generally has the good intentions when it comes to wars. The US has done many good things and been generous in the world. And Australia is no better when it comes to wars, it has been a partner, or supported the US in most of not all its wars. So before you start throwing stones and passive-aggressively berating others, you should first move out of your glass house.

Sure their are issues, mainly gun laws but it's not like Australia doesn't have issues themselves, mainly due to rampant ecosystem degradation and general higher amounts of corruption in state level governments
I don't think the US elect politicians who have the wrong policies. Their whole system is captured, as President Eisenhower warned them it could be, by the interests of the Military Industrial Complex. Just look at how they budget: the Pentagon asks for $800 billion, the captured Congress says "Have $850 billion." Plus extras, it becomes a trillion. And there have to be wars going all the time to keep the market for killing machines going. The Middle East is exhausted so now they've got to keep Ukraine going for as long as possible while building up the "Chinese threat."

They typically set yoghurt in a pot. You can get boutique yoghurt in little serving size pots where they set the yoghurt in the pot and it comes to your store untouched.

Th US school shooting thing always perplexes me. Most of the stuff I've read about - the gun isn't purchased by a kid nor is it a black market special with serial numbers removed. It's a parents/relative/foster carer weapons. That's mainly a shitty parenting and shitty gun ownership problem.
I am Australian and these are very funny memes to me, but some of them are sad because they are so true about the US.

Cyclones and hurricanes are not the same thing, hurricanes originate in Northern hemisphere and spins counterclockwise due to coriolis effect. Cyclones originates in southern hemisphere and spins clockwise. If a cyclone managed to wander its way up north, it will keep spinning clockwise until its energy is spent, and it will still be called cyclone.
