OMG, now I know why my brother in law was adamant - forceful in his response when asked did he have a younger brother? Like almost left me abandoned at a Manassas truck stop at 66 in Virginia, had to flag down a VA state trooper & tell him it was one of those things like maybe the lady working at the Krispy Kreme donuts subconsciously gave my brother in law Sanka decaf instead? I just wont do that "you remind me of, look like that movie star" etc anymore, it just makes things worse.
Have you noticed that in the 1950s "Zorro" tv-series, all the good characters speak with Spanish accents. While all the evil characters, even if they're Spanish, speak with no accent at all. I read somewhere that originally, Zorro was a symbol of resistance to the American influence/infiltrators/invaders of California. I like to think the tv-series paid homage to that in this way.
The world isn't logical. If it was how could OldNorhampton be younger than YoungNorhampton. I knew there was something crazy about that when I was a kid but every time I said something they smacked me.
Nothing beats a Woody Allen film.
"once would have been nice" best line.
Wonderful movie. Laughs at life without trivializing it.
Some of the funniest moments I've ever seen on film. Diane Keaton is a genius. So is Woody Allen.
Woody is a nonce.
Truly is
I never get tired of Diane Keaton getting hit with the bottle.
You can see the Marx brothers influence here
Duck Soup! .....
I Love Jewish Humour.."Its Not My Fault. But its ALL my Fault..Oh..The Guilt!".. I just Love the Tactics x
To this day I still say, “no, it’s a greater honor for me.” 😂
"No, You're Don Francisco's Sister!"
LOVE THIS FILM!!! WOODY IS A GENIUS!!!
"once some Cossacks whistled at me".....priceless...
All men are Socrates >>> that means all men are homosexuals
OMG! The Socrates speech made me fall out my chair with tearful laughter.
Definitely in my top 10 Allen films. I love how he plays with the ethos of igmar Bergman in this film LOL.
It just so happens I have Ingmar here and he thinks you know nothing about his work. ;-)
Additionally, he says his name is not Igmar(sic).
That's an Annie hall reference
Just seeing this in year 2020 and I think I'm loving it 😀😀
I can't decide which is the best, this film or the other one (Life of Brian), so they jostle for first position in the top ten.
+tedgrant2 Definitely Love & Death.
True. Those two have an intellectual humor pushed to the extreme.
What a gorgeous name. Diane Keaton.
One of my fav movies ever
"No, you must be Don Francisco's sister" abides still ...
Almost Every Line was a Joke! .... A Funny Joke!
Hilarious! Woody's the best 🥰 !
best definition of god I have ever heard.

This is an underrated film: toddjacobucci.net/blog/the-funniest-movies-of-all-time
Diane Keaton is a true artist.
In this movie he’s the only Russian without a mustache or a Russian accent

Shame you left out the night before his execution.
That look at 0:24
Oh. how I love this film! Using Prokofiev's "Alexander Nevsky" score plus the "Troika" -- masterful.
Another work featuring Allen's fantastic wit, poisoned by his blasphemy, per the usual. His irreverence always spoils the ride.
The world isn't logical. If it was how could OldNorhampton be younger than YoungNorhampton. I knew there was something crazy about that when I was a kid but every time I said something they smacked me.
1:05 my favorite part 3:) XD
[WHAT IN THE FUCK!!!!]
His second best movie next to Season of the Potato

It appears that he (Woody Allen) was a little bit influenced by those guys. One with a soup ball cut, one with frizzy hair and the bald guy.
So this is what passed for comedy in the 1975. Truly the dark ages.
Yeah no tasteless vulgarities. Not one f bomb dropped. What kind of humor is that?!
this film is too sophisticated for me... over my head... that's why it puts me to sleep. Zzzzz.....
You didn't like the film?
If you read #Tolstoy it helps.
