Thanks for the thorough and in-depth review. Great job!👍
Thanks for watching!
I like your reviews. Very thorough and informative.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much! I like your review a lot!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent review. Are you going to review Jabra speak 810?
Thanks for the great feedback! The Speak 810 is currently not in the queue, but that's a great suggestion!
Thanks for this review and the comparison one you did against the older model. I have the older model and thinking about upgrading...the audio quality was significantly better on the Poly 20 based on your review. Curious, would my Plantronics BT600 USB adapter that I use on my Plantronics headphones work also with the Poly 20, do you know? Excellent videos! Thanks!
I believe that's the exact Bluetooth adapter I have in the video at 7:40 (It came with the Sync 20).
Certainly the speaker on the Poly 20 is more powerful than the Calisto 7200. But I'm not convinced that the microphone sounds better. For me, it probably wouldn't be worth upgrading, just based on audio quality.
Thank you for your test. I bought the version with a button for MS Teams. But I have no problem with this cable. I can roll it both clockwise and counterclockwise. But it's more convenient and there is more slack if I do it clockwise. I am positively surprised by the details and quality of the finish. The quality of the speaker and microphone is fantastic. Personally, I only miss the stand to set the Poly at an angle on the desk.
That's a great point about the finish. The Sync 20 really feels like a premium product in the hand.
great! May I ask a question? I really couldn't use this device just as I mic, with its speaker muted? Because I already have a sound system in the meeting room to receive the calling from zoom.
Thank you so much
@@josedrive In Zoom you can just select a different speaker. No problem at all.
@ Thanks! So I'm gonna and just cut the sound speaker of the poly, by zoom configuration. Thanks!
Thanks for the video!
The poly sounds perfect. But there's no way mute the speaker of the device and used It just a mic? Cause I already have a sound system to the room that's is going receive the zoom's calling. If not, could you recommend one device with thais quality where I can mute its speaker and use It as a room Mic?
Thank you! Your work make a fantastic difference for us! ✌️
You can just select a different speaker in your video conferencing software.
Thanks for the review, actually, my USB cable attaches perfectly.
I suspected it was me being dumb! 8-)
I have a Jabra Speak 510 and finding the half duplex very annoying.
Do you have 510 and compare to the sync 20?
I don't have any Jabra products at the moment. But on the Poly Sync 20 the full duplex seems to work great!
@ thanks!
How did you get the mic so robust and clear in the room? I've watched other videos and it's not even close.
It could be because I recorded the mic with Audacity. If you record it with Zoom, for example, you risk getting Zoom's audio processing on top of the device's own processing. Plus the acoustics in that room are pretty good.
@ Thanks for getting back to me! I suppose it could be the room. I'm referring to this video ua-cam.com/video/mXCVKncDlas/v-deo.html
In his it sounds plain and normal like the other conference room mics I've been looking at. I don't think he's using Zoom. I saw him using OBS in another video. I can't imagine he left the limiter on though. I would appreciate any further thoughts.
Would this also work decently for watching movies, listening to music?
Yes it would! I've actually used this device to listen to music, live streams and UA-cam videos. The audio quality is really good for such a small device.
@ thanks a lot. This really helps. And could this be connected to two devices via Bluetooth? Thinking of connecting it with the M2 mac mini and ipad pro
How does this work with teams and zoom?
You connect the device to your computer or phone. The you select it as mic and speaker.
