For anyone wondering. Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner on bass, Kebbi Williams on sax and Isaiah Sharkey on guitar. First song is Mike Sterns "Moodswings" and the second song is Slum Village "Conant Gardens" mixed with Miles Davis Groups "Nefertiti"
love watching you play . I'm also a drummer. your playing is beautiful. lots of emotions. Love the two long crash cymbals. teaching myself to play jazz and jungle, glitch drumming and nu jazz electronic and techno jazz . Jojo mayer and Mark Giuliana . and you.
Beautiful Dynasonic snare drum in natural maple. His is the best Rogers snare drum I've ever seen. I owned a wood dyna in black diamond pearl wrap. Is it refinished or original?
Actually, I was listening to a recording of the song "Think" by James Brown the other day, and it has that same in between swung and straight vibe. A lot of music in the 60s had that type of vibe. Lee Morgan's "The Sidewinder" had it too.
Prog-Hop??? LOVE that DRUM! is actually giving this guy more attention - Refreshing after 1000000+ issues and articles on Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Chad Smith, etc.... What a monster player!
It's still an o-zone tho unless it's an Aero Crash [which i doubt] but all o-zones don't have 6 holes some have 8 some have 4 some have 10+ soooo yeah.......lol

Fantastic cover of Mood Swings. I love how Chris plays right between swung and straight. The original was Peter Erskine and Jaco, if I'm not mistaken.
Right! Steve Jordan.

pre-tama star kick drum. love it.
at 4:44 how is that echo or delay happening? is that an electronic or acoustic effect?
does anyone know what drum throne chris is sitting on
yea yea, I forgot about that because most o-zone cymbals I've seen only has 6 holes though... and aero crash holes are little holes
Wow this is some good stuff
Thundercat )))
I sit almost the same way. Allows for more footwork to work smoother.
This is TOO DOPE!!!
Looks like 16" crash bottom with the Sabian hole crash (whatever they're called) top and then a rhythm tech tambourine...
Prog-Hop???

It's still an o-zone tho unless it's an Aero Crash [which i doubt] but all o-zones don't have 6 holes some have 8 some have 4 some have 10+ soooo yeah.......lol

I want to see Chris Dave and Quest Love battle cause, they both like J Dilla drummers to me

+Nikia Morgan it'd be a total mismatch of we're being completely real with ourselves.

His seating position looks so uncomfortable, he is virtually standing up!

Never trust a drummer with two first names
He's playing the sax melody on drumz..Cool color..
