So there's no way to get it back to the top of the keyboard? This sucks. It is now inaccessible when the phone is in my Ram truck holder.. Plus it's a ridiculously inconvenient position anyway.
You can also put the input on the spacebar. To do this, go to the Samsung keyboard settings, then go to Swipe, touch, and feedback. Next, go to Touch and hold spacebar and select Voice input.
Thanks so much for sharing this option. My Samsung Galaxy S 23 plus updated the user interface today and it seems like they placed the microphone at the very bottom left of the screen. This at least is a somewhat better option than always hitting the bottom left of the screen. Just wish the microphone would cease to stop recording my speech after one second of no audible input. Sometimes I need a few seconds to choose the right words I want to say and I keep running out of breath trying to keep the microphone recording input.

And the g board does not speak my keys out loud. I have a vision problem. And I need to hear what i'm typing also but the google Gboard does speak outlook. Thanks friend it worked. I've done all your suggestions which got me further as I can use the manual hold bottom left keyboard icon to select Google voice. However holding it only gives me "input method" As the option. Stock s24
I had the same issue, I found whatever I needed to turn it on under "Keyboard list and default" I had Samsung Keyboard, I selected Google Voice typing and selected it, and Keyboard button on navigation bar...that brought the microphone back for me. It's also under general management.

On my s23 ultra, it’s missing as well, and the location is so annoying, whenever im trying to text someone i accidentally bump it. And now that the button is missing, apparently i still accidentally press it, but whenever i press the area it should be, it doesnt work. I hate it so much
For those who are still not able to see the mic, one thing which you need to do is : 1. Search keyboard list and default in setting 2. On top there is an option called default keyboard, click on that and check whether "show keyboard buttons" is enabled or not.
I had to go this route bc the microphone button still wasn't showing when I had voice input checked. off in keyboard settings. Go to Keyboard list and default. Check Google voice typing in there as well. Finally got my icon but at bottom left corner now.

Dude so that's why my microphone keeps opening when I type thought my phone was uber bugging out since I hold my phone to where my thumb is blocking the microphone icon 😭
Doesn't work...there's NOTHING IN THE LEFT CORNER!! Settings says I'm in Voiceimput but NO ICON at ALL in the corner😮 I really hate that the microphone is now in the far left anyway. Makes it impossible to use one hand since I'm right handed. Everytime Samsung makes stupid senseless changes...it pushes me toward throwing it out & getting an iphone
go to settings and go to "Keyboard list and default" and turn on "Keyboard button on navigation bar". (you may have this setting off which is needed to display the mic icon)

For those who are still not able to see the mic, one thing which you need to do is :
1. Search keyboard list and default in setting
2. On top there is an option called default keyboard, click on that and check whether "show keyboard buttons" is enabled or not.
Remove the location of the microphone from the top of the keyboard to the bottom left interesting
such a wierd and inconvenient change. also very unnecessary.

Go to setting general management, keyboard lists and defaults and make sure the keyboard button on navigation is selected turned on! Hope that helps
