The scope of preparedness is large and up to the prepared individual, ranging from simple power outages to apocalyptic events. Not having to rely on anyone or anything to survive. So, satisfying. It’s the way they lived in the 1700s. Keep up this great adventure. This definitely needs to be a series with all the new upgrades and adventures

I left my high stressed advertising executive career in 2007. Was advertising director of an outdoor hunting and fishing magazine in downtown Seattle. I moved to central Washington state up in the mountains in a small resort town called Leavenworth, I’m actually on Lake Wenatchee about 15 miles from town. Best move I ever made. Love it!
preppers are mentally unwell. you can collect all the same material items and not let doomsday imagery and ideology run through your mind so much for no good reason. Preppers are sometimes prepared physically, but they would all benefit greatly from a few sessions with a therapist.

Reminds me of my dad. When he retired he sold our super nice childhood home and bought land on a lake. We all thought he was crazy until he turned it into a oasis like this. My brothers and I can’t wait to come up every weekend now. Although we aren’t doomsday peepers we are pretty remote. As foreign events escalate (like what’s happening in the Middle East) I’m more and more convinced doomsday prepping is the right call!
My pops is 55 & I’m 26 & we started doing the same thing 2 years we’ve already put down more than 120K on the property we bought in Pennsylvania…… I’m personally not a believer in doomsday prepping but it’s nice to own something secluded where you can get away & be one with nature

We all did growing up. From our neighbours hoses too, whatever. You could do that back in the 80’s. We also played outside all damn day. We were never in the house.
It’s well water, same exact thing inside the house just faucet vrs hose. Not treated or filtered inside like homes in the city, so of course drink from the hose when outside 🙂💯
@@lessforloans ummm yes it is… I used to have well water, my dad currently has well water, hour outside of Minneapolis, we also had it at our cabin…so I know exactly what I’m talking about if you live actually in a rural area that has good well water meaning it hasn’t been infected or polluted with anything because even well water can still get really nasty if you don’t take care of it ….then yes, it is basically the same thing. Maybe there’s one tiny little screen filter inside your faucet, inside the house, but it’s basically the same thing inside the house as as it is at the pump outside … if a well is on your land, then there’s just one well for everything🤷🏻♀️👀😂

I once saw Josh at the Philadelphia airport. I was lucky I was going back home and had a connection there while he was leaving from a Vikings game. My mom and I saw him right after departing our flight and man does the guy look like a Greek god in person it’s insane.

Yeah I never really hunted growing up in ND but I've butchered pigs and chickens and gone fishing. Been goose hunting once. I'm sure growing up in Minot he was more into sports than anything.
Amen Brother, I love my Tractors, Trucks, all kinds of equipment that I find a use for. Side by Sides and living out in open with my garden, lake fishing. Hunting and living off the land.
You are a million percent correct when you say “if we lost cell phones the majority of society would panic” part of what got my husband and I into prepping (besides Floridas hurricanes we were in Naples for Irma and fort myers for Ian, Covid, and just watching how fragile our system really is) was seeing all these people using their phones for everything, literally can’t drive to work without gps because they don’t know the street names or land markers! We have paper maps, we have multiple evacuation plans, etc. I can go on and on but the reality is none of us know what’s going to happen today or next week, I know we aren’t anywhere near 100%, no one is, but we are much more equipped to handle whatever comes our way. Our biggest thing was we didn’t want to be out there with all the crazies when SHTF happens, we will be hunkered down or on our way to a secure location way before most people know it’s even happening. We are just now starting to build our “group” I think there is safety in numbers, but you have to know who you are surviving with, if SHTF actually happens who knows maybe we will find eachother and thrive as a tribe❤️

If you’ve never heard of this guy. Trust me. I told myself the first time I saw this guy. He the coolest guy ever next to me. I’ve almost been famous never. But I own 10 acres so I’m almost like him. I once thought about doing Hollywood. But I’m sticking to my roots by commenting.
I was hiking the PCT for 6 months durning 2020 covid shut down. It changed my life living out of my backpack being able to slow down to smell the roses. Came back sold most everything and downsized to a simpler way of living. Have a small cabin in the mtns in a remote region of WNC.
