A cycle in to Culra Bothy to pitch my tent in preparation for the next days adventure on the mountains.

Probably next year now, days are getting a bit too short. Have you compleated the Munros yet? You can't be far off..😊
I'm at 265 but they're not easy ones that's left.

Super video Stevie - brilliant views. Ben Alder has been on my To Do list for a while and this film has reinforced why. Really looking forward to getting up there, hopefully in similar weather to what you had. Cheers!

One of those Munros I'd also put off for a while but it was a great outing
Great effort Stevie and what a great conditions to bag these remote hills, aye taps aff when the suns out and nice wee shout for yer 'wee ma' , I thought that Culra bothy was shut completely , signs enough to put you off. ATB , great vid RC👍
Thanks Rob, yes i watching the forecast closely to get those hills bagged. The last time i was up on the munros behind Culra Bothy i never seen anything.
Thanks very much for taking the time to watch it , cheers

Magnificent video mate, the scenery is incredible.
On my todo list one day, yours was the first video for Alder I clicked on...stunning viewing with a great insight into the hike and cycle, so thanks for that.
Re the cycle in, is it pretty flat??.
I subscribed and look forward to watching more of your videos.
cheers!!
Thanks a lot mate , cheers.
If i remember correctly there was a section where i got off the bike.
Just where i filmed the horses.
Wasn't that bad though then i was back on the bike.
It's a great wee adventure into that area
Nice one Stevie, cracking hills in there and one of the best times of year to do them. Cheers
Yes it was a fantastic trip into Ben Alder. Great weather for it.
Thanks for watching
Cracking stuff pal! Some fantastic views from up there and what a day you had for it! Keep the vids coming. ATB, Andy.
Thanks a lot Andy.
It was a great wee couple of days
Wow!! Xx
Thanks for watching Elaine 🙏
Nice bothy, lots of them are infested with rats.
Haha I'm glad i never slept in there then. Least wee noise and i would never have got a wink of sleep.
At least when you zip up the tent you feel cocooned in your own wee bubble.
Thanks for watching
Done that mountain as part of the D of E expedition. Ye kin see awe the English scratching therr heids wondering wit a Jaiket is !!! ha ,
Haha 😂😂.
When was it you done it , a while back ?
@@summitwithstevie6934 Done it in 93 then again in 99 staying at the haunted bothy on the other side of Alder. Strange noises for sure but plenty of lager came with us. Im 50 now , done so many of the peaks in my 20s 30s and early 40s. Sadly lost interest now. Ah did enjoy yer video mate brought back some good mems , pished in a bothy in the cold winter. I remember being that cold in the bothy we burnt the chairs and a pair of my sannies along way a packet of super noods. Not my finest moment and SOZ to the bothy proprietors. Left a message in the bothy diary that some NEDS had come to the bothy while we slept in our tents outside. WE WERE THE NEDS, my Govan routes !!!
Another Grt video well done Steven, keep up the good work bro 🙏
Thanks a lot Jamie for watching
Brings back great memories me and my good friend stayed and climbed the 4 over 2 days 👍🏻
Ye there's some fine hillwalking to be had in that area if you make the effort to get in there.
Thanks for watching
yea the game keepers do it from time to time. it helps with new heather and other stuff come through for the grouse to feed and nest.
