    Funny thing , and no doubt about it , these late 80’s early 90’s Combat Aviation documentaries represent the golden age of aviation and even documentaries in general , as , documentaries over the decades have only gotten worse , and worse to the point of being straight up hatchet jobs . Again , can’t express how much I enjoy these documentaries .

      Likewise, these bring me back to being a kid, early 90's Discovery, A&E, TLC. Before it was all junk.

    My dad was a weights and balancing engineer on prototype #2 it was the first plane he worked on after he worked on the Boeing 707 and 727 straight from high-school. What a plane. The greatest bomber of all time for the raw power

      My dad GREATLY contributed to this aircraft and every USAF/NATO aircraft development since 1950's. So my dad clearly outshines yours.
      He was the ejection seat test dummy.

      @dkoz8321 we'll test dummy is better than my dad's future after the XB-70, he worked on the DC-8-62 then he worked on the F-5E.
      After that he married my mom went back home in Washington state and became a C.P.A.. he spent the rest of his life doing others taxes 80 to 100 hrs.a week during tax season.
      I'd rather gotten to fly ,even if I had to get ejected every time.

    Nice documentary indeed. The sound at 5:36 is strange anyway. B-29 had radial engines and that sounds as turboprops.

      Huh? You mean the Tu-160? That plane neither looks nor flies like the XB-70A.

    Why is a Vid on XB-70 starting out talking about the B-1????????????? Waste of 3 mins on B-1!

    • @winternow2242
      @winternow2242 Рік тому +1

      Probably because the B-1 directly rose out of the cancelation of the B-70.
