30:29 on line calls, there is no accountability. Same as it was for serves until recently. People will game the system until someone holds them accountable. Even refs miss calls, and incorrectly overturn calls based on what they see. I’ve seen multiple instances where their calls are challenged but not not overturned even though replay shown to audience shows they were wrong. Refs must be held accountable as well.

I would rather have an opponent bring tons of energy for themselves and their partner after every point than have them chirping and insulting me or my partner. I respect positive energy and I respect the ability to separate someone’s competitive fire during a match from the rest of their personality/life after the match is over. Don’t get me wrong. It’s certainly annoying when others are bringing energy, but that’s part of competing and I love competing 🤷🏻♂️
Thx for feedback. In my experience, every single indoor place (with many courts) is EXTREMELY loud, however, the Picklr does its best to mitigate as much as possible imo.

Leas line calls is getting worse each tournament. Maybe PPA needs to say if a player gets overturned more than x amount of time in a tournament they lose 50% of the prize money??? Parris and Lea or would lose a lot of money or they would stop cheating. And PPA needs to start putting active line judges

I can remember maybe 2-3 of those instances but in almost all of those, I'm yelling towards my partner, and not once am I staring down the other person or team trying to intimidate them or get under their skin. I'm energetic and trying to pump up my partner. There's a big difference between celebrating/being pumped up, and trying to stare down/intimidate your opponents. Also, you probably don't know Jaume all that well as he does this often in his own matches. By the way, me + Jaume are good friends and actually playing together this weekend.

I have to say, in Pablo's first out call, it was for match point, the ball was definitely out. The angles the refs had to look on video were terrible, but stilled looked way out. But because you couldn't "see the space" between the ball and line with the bad angle they decided to overturn it?;? Why are they applying the rule as if they are live on the court? It's a replay, and you can't overturn everything just because you can tell 100% it's out. Terrible call by the video referee. I was rooting for Connor and DJ but after that was grateful Pablo and Fed could get justice.

I’ve traveled around the world a fair bit and have ended up playing a bit and watching a fair amount of padel (pronounced as paddle) pretty regularly and people do 100% make the same comparisons with padel to tennis and tennis players make with pickleball basically saying its easier tennis and its not really a sport. Likewise tennis players have a lot of the same issues when transitioning with hitting the ball too hard and not coming up to the net

The calling balls out thing is so easily fixed. Give the players 3 challenges, and if a challenge goes against you, you lose one _whether you are the challenger or the challenged player_ . Make it so there's a cost to bad line calls. Does Rohrbacher observe Shabat every weekend? If so, Anna needs to find another partner, or resign herself to never winning a medal in Women's doubles.

Who no one talking about Federico’s line calls? He is so bad at singles line calls but only when it’s a tight game or he’s losing. In one game alone he had 3 overturned calls!
PB pro layers should only have 2 challenges (max) per match since they play to 11. The length of a pb match is nothing like tennis. Once they run out of challenges “that’s it.” They can’t challenge. It then becomes strategical.

The calling balls out thing is so easily fixed. Give the players 3 challenges, and if a challenge goes against you, you lose one _whether you are the challenger or the challenged player_ . Make it so there's a cost to bad line calls.

Who no one talking about Federico’s line calls? He is so bad at singles line calls but only when it’s a tight game or he’s losing. In one game alone he had 3 overturned calls!
PB pro layers should only have 2 challenges (max) per match since they play to 11. The length of a pb match is nothing like tennis. Once they run out of challenges “that’s it.” They can’t challenge. It then becomes strategical.

@@woodsonsanders1112 if they have 2 or 3 challenges then they should be able to use them. Once they run out then they should not be able to challenge period.

Agree about Stak’s line calls. In my opinion they are really bad.
I don’t think it matters that Ben beats Fed when they meet in finals if Ben is only making it there occasionally. Fed is the better player overall if he out points Ben.

Padel is actually pronounced "paddle". It is much more difficult to play than tennis or pickleball
Padel rally’s can be ended in a few shots but players drag out a rally. Not sure why but it’s very repetitive.

Interesting, thx for the comment. Like I've said, I'm not familiar with the community but in pb, you always hear about how tennis players are so much more talented/pb is so much easier, but i've never really heard that comparison for Padel which I thought was interesting.
