Mabye flipper labs will take advantage of the different popular gpio boards and implement them into the device itself

What I'd like to see in the next device: you might have heard of small emulation handheld gaming devices like the Miyoo Mini. These can play games up to PlayStation 1. I'd like that combined with the Flipper Zero capabilities.

Yeah I never quite got why people say things are "outdated" simply based on time.
My primary laptop was a low end laptop when it was new in 2017. It still fulfills all my current requirements.
It has been out since 2020... it is very outdated, unless you just picked it up lol. So yes it is outdated if you are an early adopter of the technology, which is expected of tech enthusiasts.
@@otnielgonzalez5440 fair. However, my focus in the past is on software development so while I'm an enthusiast I don't generally play on this playground. All new stuff. I'm sitting here with a CYD and a bunch of fun new toys (just got a Bambu Labs X1C too). So give me a minute to catch up. ;)
@@otnielgonzalez5440 There lies the problem. How is it functionally outdated? It isn't. Hackrf is still in widespread use. It came out in 2014. While there are some hardware limitations, it is still fully functional.
The CC1101 came out in 2007. Were you even alive then?
The idea that something is "outdated" solely as a product of time is frankly stupid and there is no other *single* product that has the same functionality.
Outdated isn't the same as obsolete...

Sure why not?!
Not a bad device. No SD hat or modules unfortunately you'll need to solder one yourself. No USB peripheral built in so only BT ducky scripts.
As for the rest, you have modules for RFID, 433 Rx and TX and other modules you can use with it.

I wouldn't say it is very outdated. The one thing I would say is I would love to see one using the SX1276 which supports freq ranges 137Mhz - 1020mhz. Fewer freq gaps, possible lora capability etc.

Awesome video as usual. Im not sure if it's possible on microcontrollers but ML or AI involved would step up the game. I belive the pwnagotchi does something similar.

I think the flipper devs should look into upgrading the hardware to something like a STM32H743. It will have significantly more speed, memory, and additional gpio for things like canbus.
The flipper is a great multitool idea but has weak hardware.
Raspberry PI is a great idea, but one the community of users and coders need to work on themselves.
I think if there was open source software for Linux to work with subghz files using a cc1101 connected to gpio that there would be no reason to buy a flipper at all.

I was able to write arduino code to parse subghz raw files and set cc1101 settings, and transmit that saved file.
It can also receive and write the files.
I mean sure, raw files are simply duration gap in ms

The new roguemaster fw keeps crashing my flipper 😢
One problem with beating the Flipper Zero is achieving the large subGHz frequency range cheaply while maintaining decent performance. Keeping spurious emissions in an acceptable range and SWR low with a single antenna had to take some time.
SX1276 would have been my transceiver of choice, its just all around better. Probably not as cheap in bulk though since the cc1101 is old and established tech
@crsv7armhl the M1's Si4463 is superior.
The issue is that i think people will plug in an external CC1101 anyway, and it won't matter.

I have been building a Yardstick One cheap clone (same syntax/args) for the past 6 months ESP32 + transceiver. PCB's, firmware, case, all of it. Plus a few protocol decoders.
Guess which transceiver I am using. CC1101. They were ~$1 per unit, the SX1276 was $6 per chip.
Plus CC1101 being so established makes it much easier to work with (Radiolib, and whil I couldn't get it working, there is also the Elechouse lib).

If the next gen flipper zero I bet those companies either buff on secure or lawsuit or ban them. As for ban for them that nonsense in some degree. I feel there pros and cons as there are bad apples both sides. But there are other people will create clone tools but it will not expose to public to see. I seen some Call of duty using hardware hacks by proxy using the arduino boards. Those technologies are getting better and those companies are not able to keep up? More people are learning about the arduino boards relate stuff as things are cheap and learning getting better.
