excitebots is legitimately good and one of my fav childhood games. it still has a really small community that does scheduled online races. i was actually really excited to see it here. it really deserved to sell better than it did. (also it was actually made by the excitetruck developers)
That pig toss game was an IRL game like 30 years ago. My parents had it deep in the hallway closet and I tried playing it as a kid but you literally just throw two tiny pigs and hope they land standing up. The whole water bottle flip thing but with tiny pigs.
I submitted Insecticide and seeing my first ever submission placed into the champ slot then immediately get taken away felt so unbelievable, especially after Coney himself said it fit the prompt perfectly lmao. Looking forward to getting to submit more Wheel Champ stuff in the future!

I feel so validated seeing ChoroQ show up on this wheelchamp. Genuinely one of my favourite PS2 games ever and by FAR the best thing ATLUS has ever made.
I can confirm Sprung was a real game. My grandmother bought it for me thinking “where everyone scores” had to do with sports. You could choose the male or female and had multiple endings each path. So I might be the only other person to play it as well.
I rented Wrath Unleashed once back when it first came out and spent the last 15 years trying to remember what it was called or if I had just dreamt that shit up or something. Never thought I'd finally get that question answered in a Coney video.
6:41 I used to do this with one of the old Harry Potter games on PC, I would sit in my Dad's lap and we'd essentially do a 2 player 1 controller run of the Quidditch minigame. The only problem was he'd get way to excited over it and end up stomping his feet on the ground, which meant my knees were being slammed into the underside of the desk, I'm lucky to have not been in a wheelchair from age 4 XD
My family owned an early PS2 game called Gadget Racers and this video just informed me that it's actually part of the Choro Q series. My world is shattered.
That Transformers game reminded me of the Transformers Armada game from 2004, that I remember being really good. There was this one level that always stuck with me where you had to get to and infiltrate this Decepticon aircraft carrier, you get in fight a bunch of enemies press some buttons, then the aircraft carrier transforms and chucks you out and suddenly you're in this boss fight with a massive Transformer, really blew me away back then.
Bruh if I had known about this I would have thrown Tetrisphere in there, but the fact that someone threw WETRIX into the wheelchamp and Coney happened to open that alongside the dude eating a watermelon (lmao) is all I needed to see that and getting to see things like the Choro Q cars vibing away and Coney dying of laughter with the Nightmare Before Christmas game
1:01 when coney was showing his own game and he was said “it’s on fire” I didn’t believe him… Then I looked up a let’s play, and literally every menu and every level is on fire in some way. This is arson the video game
HOLY SHIT, I actually did play Rolo To the Rescue and I've been trying to figure out what game it was for YEARS. Thanks for the childhood memory unlock Coney
The fact that Coney went back on Insecticide had me malding. I played that game because I liked looking at cheap steam games (before it became flooded with absolute garbage) and I thought it was gonna be bad but it was pretty good. It just didn't have much content to it because it was suppose to come out in parts. It was never finished 😢
Mine was Spore Creatures on the DS! It was a Spore “”De-Make”” where you traveled to different planets and fought using magic or DDR danced with aliens to steal their body parts. It also had weird pseudo Paper Mario graphics. This game was awesome
My “hidden gem game* has got to be spare parts. It’s on ps3 and Xbox360. Basically a puzzle platformer where you play as a robot who crashed onto presumably earth but the game never says. And your goal is to find ship parts through out all of the games stages to repair the ship you found with an ai hologram guiding you throughout. It’s multiplayer as well. It’s a very good game if not a little buggy. A lot of childhood memories from that one
2:48 You know what I had this game when I had ds. I lost the cartridge and really never got the controls. If I was in this Wheel Champ, I would definitely put Carnival Games: Mini Golf for nostalgia.
Y game that only I played was called Boktai. A Kojima produced GBA game where you hunt vampires and use actual sunlight to do it. There was a solar sensor on the game cartridge, and you needed to be outside to recharge your magic and gun battery.
BTW, Oggie's revenge is Actually really fucking insane, they got nearly the entire cast, AND made new lyrics for every song in the movie, INCLUDING three different version of Oggie's song.
Pass the Pigs is based. i used to play it all the time with my folks. you need to roll 2 rubber pigs, so they bounce everywhere, and depending on how they land you score points appropriately, the game is a press your luck race to 100 points, if you score any points, you may stop there and save your points, or continue to roll and earn more, but at the chance to lose it all. but if the pigs end up touching, or end up on opposite sides, (they have a dot on one side to tell the difference), you lose your turn, and in the case of the pigs touching, you go to Zero points. its more fun than just rolling dice since there isn't a strict statistical advantage to the pigs, and you can get crazy combinations when the pigs land on an ear or on their snout for more points. my favorite bit of the game is if one pig lands ontop of another pigs back, a Piggyback, then you not only lose your turn, you are out of the game. due to the Pigs bouncing so much however, this will almost never happen.
Pass the pigs was a real physical game! My family and I would literally take it to restaurants and play it. It is literally just rolling dice. All the point values for different pig positions have fun names like "trotter" too. They also like get less points if they touch each other I think.
Thank God for this video Coney! I've been trying to find wrath unleashed for an actual lifetime, my buddy and I rented it when we were elementary schoolers because the cover looked sweet. The menuing with the hexmap turned us off but once we started fighting we had loads of fun with it. Memory unlocked
Dude I forgot about the nightmare before Christmas game, I loved it as a kid! This video brought back so much nostalgia, I had also forgotten how fun early 2000s baseball games were, I remember one where you could knock people down by jumping and shoving your crotch in their face lol
my game for this would be seek and destroy for ps2, its a game with tanks that can talk, but they aren't cartoons or anything, they are just normal ass tanks that dialogue comes from, there were bosses and you could attach wings or rockets to your tank and make it fly, fun game
Maestro! Jump in Music is a legitimately one of the most unique hidden gems i've ever played. It's basicaly a plataform rhythm game on the Nintendo DS, just amazing stuff!
ChoroQ seemed like a weird game, getting mugged by other cars lol. Was hoping for my entry to get in but it was near the end of the stream that it appeared in the list, but mine seemed way too niche regardless.
Loved the game as a kid and still do, that was some beggar kids but you do get mugged earlier on still. Very RPG like in themes, political corruption, poverty, gambling, and a surprising amount of death. One of the mini games is we’re you go to a haunted house we’re you find out it’s haunted by the undead corpse of a murder suicide victim. Still E for everyone
I loved Eating a Watermelon With My Clone so much as a kid. Great game but the motion controls were pretty finicky, especially for the time it was released.
Zack and Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure is a legitimately fun and somewhat challenging point and click puzzle game for the wii, thats my underrated gem
NASCAR ON LEAPSTER?! ACTUAL MEMORY UNLOCKED NO FUCKING WAY. THAT GAME CONTROLLED MY LIFE FOR 2 WEEKS AND I PLAYED IT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS TO VARYING DEGREES. I can't believe I remember it tbh
Oh my god I remember ChoroQ, I haven’t thought about that game in so long. Mine would have to be Gotcha Force, I remember renting that game so many times, I think I’ve maybe met one other person who remembers it.
I loved Glitch! My mom got that for me at target as a kid, and I had a surprisingly good time playing, would def recommend to anyone trying older games
There was this game me and my buddy grinded for no reason called billy hatcher and the giant egg. We played that more than melee. Singleplayer fav game no one played would be dark cloud 2. Great game. I used to speed run it just because the early game was fun.
I take it back I put far more hours into rc helicopter for the PS1! I rented it from blockbuster like 4 or 5 weekends in a row before my dad asked if I just wanted to buy it from them lol. Some of the missions you went on had so much charecters for a game with no charecters lol
I have one game that's weird to me that it never gets talked about anywhere because it's a Wario game, and it's Wario Master of Disguise. It feels like I'm the only person on planet Earth that's played that game
I dunno if it was only console games but my personal "hidden gem" game was a PC game called Netstorm, think people put it online for free somewhere now. Was like an RTS but takes place on floating islands that you build bridges between and then attach power sources and weapon towers to the bridges to attack the other players' towers and eventually capture their "king" unit and sacrifice it to unlock more weapons from one of the 4 different "elements". Even had a prestige system. The premise probably sounds hilarious and the game looks really odd but I lost hours of my time to that game.
that ChoroQ game has something like a sequel that was localized here in the US as "Gadget Racers" and I loved that one too SOOO much. I thought it was just so charming having the little cars with the wacky little components that you could customize and enter with just about whatever car body you want. There were all sorts of amazing things, including a hidden "Auto Drive" feature that I have seen LITERALLY NO ONE ELSE talk about throughout my entire time on the internet. I swear you could activate it by pressing both L1 and R1 at the same time, though I could never replicate it. I've been thinking about reverse engineering it just to see if that is actually a thing and that i'm not completely insane lmao --- i ended up finding my way into the Chrono-Q discord server and it turns out that a *singular* entirely-optional part in the game, the 500mhz CPU, actually comes with said autodrive feature. No other part in the game does that, just that one. It was MIND-BLOWING and suuuuper satisfying to solve that after AAAAAAAAAGES
gadget racers, road trip adventure, a game that was released as a road trip adventure expansion, and then choroq were all released in the us iirc yeah, that's choro q hg-1, 2, 3 and 4 in order, i believe there were also a bunch of other choro q games including a tank battler and tbh all of the games were pretty cool, they have a dedicated fanbase nowadays that I'm a part of
I remember as a child I had requested my whole family come to the living room cause I wanted to have a movie night. Except instead of a movie night I just stood next to the tv while playing The Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie’s Revenge. Movie night didn’t last long that night. I’m glad this won Wheel Champ though lmao
I know its not that hidden in the scenes but the game that i think is least well known that ive played was toejam and earl on the wii while it was originally for the sega genesis. Its on switch now and i truly would get why no one played it even if they knew about it
Please, whether it's coney or a viewer seeing this comment, give bpm (bullets per minute) a try. It's a fps, roguelike, rhythm game. It's an indie dungeon crawler where certain actions must be performed in time with the music. The music is phenomenal, the atmosphere is stylistically tasteful, the mechanics are polished, the bosses have depth, and there are lots of creative and really fun powers/abilities. The game is massively underrated, and definitely one that everyone should give a try.
I have to talk about noop's odyssey. It's only a vague memory in my mind but I played it at my daycare when I was little on their old ass computer. It was a platformer where you played as this little worm looking thing and collected your kids and solved puzzles
I actually own a copy of pass the pigs in real life, it's surprisingly fun I have to say. Though I only know it because my dad who got it from my grandmother.
I play too many AAA games to relate, which is disappointing. My most obscure game that isn't some lone person's personal project is probably Cel Damage, if it can even count.
SPRUNG!!!! Yooooo, GameStop send me this when I was like 8 instead of phantom hourglass and it like was such a defeat. I played like 5 minutes and just buried it
@@taliesinschmaliesin I was not into any of the dirty til I was like 13 so it was not my forte at that time. I felt gross playing it, like when you gotta cover your face when watching a movie with the folks
Shame no one brought up Amazing Island for the Gamecube. I spent HOURS on that game. It was so goddamn fun and there hasn't been a game like it. (I guess the closest thing is Spore)
excitebots is legitimately good and one of my fav childhood games. it still has a really small community that does scheduled online races. i was actually really excited to see it here. it really deserved to sell better than it did. (also it was actually made by the excitetruck developers)
excitebots is the 🐐 frfr ‼️
This game unlocked a memory for me i had so much fun as a kid!
That game looks excellent!
Yooo I played that game so much on my Wii as a kid
time to break out the wii
The winner being possibly THE most known game out of the bunch is hilarious
That pig toss game was an IRL game like 30 years ago. My parents had it deep in the hallway closet and I tried playing it as a kid but you literally just throw two tiny pigs and hope they land standing up. The whole water bottle flip thing but with tiny pigs.
I had this too
I played this with my grandma as a kid. It's fun because it's little pigs which distract my 5 yr old brain lmao
I also have this except its small pigs with cards that came in a plastic case
My suitemate has this right now lol, he’s from Iowa and says it’s like a Midwest thing but I’m from Illinois and never heard of it before lol
Currently own it, surprisingly fun to play with friends.
I submitted Insecticide and seeing my first ever submission placed into the champ slot then immediately get taken away felt so unbelievable, especially after Coney himself said it fit the prompt perfectly lmao. Looking forward to getting to submit more Wheel Champ stuff in the future!

The game is massively underrated, and definitely one that everyone should give a try.
Coney I kid you not I work at a pizza place but they have a arcade machine with multiple games and one of the games is Galiga but with osama bin Ladin
You should do this again and stream the winning game!
I have to talk about noop's odyssey. It's only a vague memory in my mind but I played it at my daycare when I was little on their old ass computer. It was a platformer where you played as this little worm looking thing and collected your kids and solved puzzles
5:10 Tony Blair jumpscare
anybody remember cel damage? i probably would have submitted that game for this but i dont know if it was obscure enough, that game slapped
That game was awesome. Shame they had to cancel the sequel
I do! Great game, I always chose the 1920s duck guy
I haven't thought of Iggy's wrecking balls since I was 8 years old. I remember renting that game
Okay but I popped off when Obama showed up and was quite upset to see it skimmed over so quickly. Genuine banger of a game.
I played freekstyle aaaall the time on a demo disc. That shit was so fun
I have the irl version of pass the pigs and it absolutely slaps
I have the GBA version of Choro Q called Gadget Racers and it's one of my absolute favorite obscure GBA games, soundtrack goes fucking crazy
can't believe no one submitted shrek for the gamecube. Greatest game ever
I'm glad someone mentioned Metal Arms, game fucking slaps.
where do you submit wheelchamp stuff? when I heard about it on cringe confessional I went to look but could not find it.
SPRUNG!!!! Yooooo, GameStop send me this when I was like 8 instead of phantom hourglass and it like was such a defeat. I played like 5 minutes and just buried it
I didn’t play far enough to confirm if has p0rn or naw
@@sydneywest1623 I submitted Sprung and can confirm that it does not have porn lol. But a lot of implication and the whole point is to get laid.
@@taliesinschmaliesin I was not into any of the dirty til I was like 13 so it was not my forte at that time. I felt gross playing it, like when you gotta cover your face when watching a movie with the folks
@@sydneywest1623 call it childhood morbid curiosity lol
@@taliesinschmaliesin envious of that freedom of will
Myth makers orbs of doom should have made the list, that game is a fever dream
I was really hoping Dong Dong Never Die was going to show up lol
Freekstyle has one of the hottest soundtrack…unlocked some memories right there
THE DS WRESTLING GAME THREW ME BACK LMAOOOOOO
Oh hey, my choice was gonna be Iggy's! Proud of whoever picked that one!
Fun fact: Rizz is short for charisma
What really fun is playing dnd with the pig dice
11:55 literally spinning out
DUDE EXCITEBOTS GOES CRAAAAAZY
ChoroQ was my fucking choldhood, but the name is so fucking weird that I forgot what it was called for literally years
Shame no one brought up Amazing Island for the Gamecube. I spent HOURS on that game. It was so goddamn fun and there hasn't been a game like it. (I guess the closest thing is Spore)
I’m here representing the game Mushroom Men: Rise of the Fungi for Nintendo Ds
