  • When this guitar arrived at the Nashville shop and we took it out of the case, it blew us away. This gorgeous OM-M has an Italian Spruce top and sinker mahogany back and sides, and has an incredibly dynamic and rich tone.
    This guitar responds to even the lightest touch, and is an outstanding fingerstyle guitar, and it also responds to a pick extremely well. This is a spectacular guitar, and it’s versatility lends itself to players from a variety of genres. This instrument is in near-mint used condition, and plays like a dream.

    Carl's flatpicking is just spectacular - it's the kind of thing that makes me feel either incredibly inspired or like I should give up the guitar.

      So annoying as just about everything he does looks like we should be able to pick up the guitar and copy him lol. As a session player he can obviously do it all but there is lesson in doing even the simple stuff to highest level.

    Carl has undeniably the best touch I've ever heard with a flatpick !! his style emulates more of what fingerstyle guitarists should strive for: a lighter but firm hand , crystal clear articulation , conservation & release of movement & energy with both playing and fretting hands , and more importantly a great sense of mood with every chosen note & chord ❣❣

      He needs to work on his string squeaking though. Not bad in this video, but as soon as his hand goes up and down the neck, the noise is there like he doesn't even know it.

    WOW !! now THaT is insanely beautiful & sweet tones ❣❣
    I have come to conclude from my personal experience as a private collector whose gone through some sixty plus acoustics that Mahogany with a great top is the best tonewood pairing on the planet !!
    i actually own a H&D OM-42 custom Sinker Mahogany back/sides , and yes it is probably one of the best sounding guitars i have come to own , and yes it is definitely as sweet sounding as this one ❣❣ 💓

    WOW! I can't believe how this blows away a Martin OM. Crisp, punchy, just enough low end and the highs don't sound tinny or flat as they can on a Martin. My next purchase!

      @paultiplea 2 роки тому +1

      @@djsunsunboy per TNAG, they don’t add any effects or post processing to these clips, they just use really high quality mics. To add processing would be to put forth a dishonest representation of the guitars they’re trying to sell, and they’re quite the reputable shop so I take their word for it.

      Sinker woods are by nature heavier and denser which is why they sink. Sinker mahogany is much brighter as a result

    Alpine, whether Italian or Swiss, is so crystal that it's almost metallic but it's not. But imo it's even more crystal than Adirondack. Definitely close with the trebles. But still sounds so amazing with the right playing
