It is a symbol for both Serbian civilians and soldiers that died during WWI. Serbia lost around 1/3 of its population during that time when people had to cross the Montenegrian and Albanian mountains to get to safety. 240 000 people died and are buried under the sea. That place is now called Plava grobnica aka The Blue Tomb. Incredibly touching and meaningful song. AND IT WON!!!!!!
