GoingBackToThe1980s ... You do know that it’s just what Jared calls them when doing randomizers, right? He manually put Lank in for the names in the Zelda Randomizers. Go back and look at the first episodes of each randomizer.
The original version of the game had "Stone Tablets" that had hints written on them. Thing was, there was only one per dungeon. The DX version of the game changed these to Owl Statues with stone beaks, of which there could be multiple per dungeon to give different hints. It was basically designed as a way to make sure even idiots could complete the game.

The way I always dealt with those guys in the dream shrine was that I'd slash my sword at the first one in each group to knock it back, where it would overlap with the others, and then I jumped over them. I even kept doing that after I got the Pegasus Boots for a while.

I remember playing this game on the GB when i was young, and goddamn the plot twist and ending made me bawl my eyes out. I can only imagine how this version would make me cry even harder in HD

I knew Bottle Grotto was a bottle, but I never got the "tackle" pun. By that point, I'd figured out that you should try out the new item on any tile you couldn't pass before.
Your frustration over the first bottle (fishing minigame) is understandable. The fish are real pricks in this version. Jared, you got WAY too fucking lucky with that first big fish! They tend to ignore the light lure, and reeling them in seems a lot more technical now than simply tapping A.
Just here for Jared's crane game addiction! >:D I also ground rupees at the Trendy Game. I find it faster to just ignore the Red Rupees and keep fetching the Purple Rupees (+40 profit every time... or +30 if you mess up once). Another reason why I ignore the Red Rupees is that once you mess up getting the Red Rupee once, it's not worth the time getting as you'll be spending 20 rupees for 20 rupees (0 profit) with extra time spent.

The dungeons of Zelda are very unique and a blast to play and figure out! It's not just the puzzles and challenges within, but the whole dungeon itself works as a puzzle. I recommend Oracle of Ages/Seasons for Gameboy Colour

The extra key in Key Dungeon is because without it you can lock yourself out of one of the rooms depending on how you used your keys.

It'd forgotten than Link's Awakening was basically a crane game simulator with some dungeon exploration on the side.
This is in my top 5 Zelda games, so I'm happy to see it finally getting a remake
