Hola.
The jp majesty is amazing and freakishly expensive too(the real ones)I locked my ibanez rgra 6 string 2 point trem w 4 noiseless springs and what a difference noiseless springs make!
Thats the thing with these guitars, tunning stability. Im a fr player and when they are perfectly setup tunning stability is not an issue. The problem is that there is no other guitar as comfortable to play as these majestys or even the JP60s. Hope ibanez or some other brand make a guitar as ergonomic as this one but with fr system. Talking about sound, sound killer without a doubt!
I own a music man majesty and it's just as stable in tuning as any of my Floyd Rose equip guitars. Maybe the bridge in my USA majesty is different than The Sterling version but you can go nuts on the trim on my Majesty and it's dead nuts in tune every time.
@@electromatic2014 Probably. I haven't had a chance to try one of the Sterling models yet. I will say that it's easier on a Floyd Rose to float than the majesty but once you get it locked in it stays.
@@stringsattached67 changing the sterling bridge is one of the most important things to do. Saddly, mine was missaligned while it was produced, so I lost interest in changing it as my 1st string always slipped off :'( majestys looks cool tho, it might be my favorite model on the ergonomics and style side
I have jp157, it’s not get full brass tremolo block, I buy 10.5 brass block and modify it for 7 strings, i can’t believe this model still not get full brass block?, the price is double from jp157, but this model get dimarzio pickups, ebony fret, and the color can’t negligible 😮😮😮
First off, thanks for the review. These sterling musicmans have been getting a lot of unnecessary flak lately and it was refreshing to get a more honest review instead of complaining about the bridge or tuning stability like every body else. It's a great looking guitar and Indonesia makes really good guitars. My Ibanez rgaix is Indonesian and is nicer than my Korean and mezicsn guitars. Also, Are you still in sleep terror? I think it would be cool if you posted some of the work that goes into that, like do you learn the songs by tab or does Luke teach you personally and how do you make that work being in Canada when he lives in Washington state? And how did you get the gig? I think it's a good idea for a video you could do in the future. I watch every video you post and I have a ton of respect for you not just as a guitarist; but, also you always conduct yourself and treat everybody nicely in the dimebag groups on Facebook as well... those groups can get pretty toxic at times, and your posts never are. But ya. Thanks for the video bro. I appreciate this.
Steaplocks are overrated. Buy a set of japanese high end Ibanez strap buttons (the ones found on the Ibanez Pia and you won't need a straplock because the diameter of the strap button head is quite large.
The only thing that makes me not wanna buy this guitar is the hardware. I had one of the JP15s from Sterling and the hardware was not really all that good, shame that on a 1500$+ guitar they still use the same exact hardware that isn't up to par with anything I would expect at this price point. The nut is undisclosed as to what material it's made from, the tuners are ok but worse than any locking tuners you can buy from a reputable brand, and the bridge especially is kinda wonky in the stability from my experience and has no flutter whatsoever. At 1500$ I shouldn't have to replace all of that but Sterling doesn't make good enough hardware for me not to have to
I believe flutter is related to spring tension, whether you have a few high-tension springs, or a lot of medium to light-tension springs. EBMM and the other brands don't know what everyone wants, which is why they set their guitars to be pretty general from factory; unless you have an AR person at a brand that you work with which is a different story. Pretty sure the nut is just plastic which is normal on so many guitars. Tuners and bridge seemed fine to me, but that's too bad your experience was negative with them.
@@EricMorettin I tried many different springs on it and nothing works. It's a problem with the material of the bridge itself for sure, one of the reasons the bridge started wearing out quickly and reveal a weird colored material beneath the chrome. There's also a common issue of the trem posts being too loose in the bushings, definitely contributes to more instability. Dropping in a Gotoh 510 bridge will improve things wonders for heavy trem users like me, but it shouldn't need to happen on 900$ guitars, let alone 1500$
Really nice demo! Purchased this axe and it’s arriving today!
Awesome! Glad you like it and bought one based on the video! Cheers 🤘
YESS! I have that Sterling JP100 and I love it. Wish you lived closer, I'd get you to set it up for me!
Maybe one day when I'm in your neck of the woods, and we'll also catch up!
Totally down for that! Keep me posted!

Adquirí esta guitarra hace unos días. Es bestial. Lamentablemente, no hay mucha información sobre esta guitarra.

Noiseless springs are a must with tremolos! Or a bit of foam under the springs if you're in a pinch

@@stringsattached67 I bet there's a huge difference from a USA musicman in comparison to the sterling

Man I love that band so much 🤘🤘 The Horse has to be my favorite song of theirs 😎
@@EricMorettin dude that bass intro! got to see them a few months back. highest energy band ive ever seen
I had this guitar and it was a HUGE stinker. So bad I returned it. Couldn't believe how bad it was for $2499 (CAD).
