As a fellow Filipino who “lives with their mom” all I can say is we choose to live with them. Because as they age, we are supposed to return the favor and look out for them. There is no issue and I think that other cultures do this as well.
True. I’m from Asia and in every household there’s at least one kid who stays with the parents or live close by to look after them when they’re old. It’s our way of appreciating everything they’ve done for us.
