V60 is obviously noticeably faster / I own one and can even see by your comparison in no means is it a hair faster. V60 has a 1 watt upper / 1.5 watt lower speaker. Fingerprint sensor sucks - should have retained the hard fingerprint sensor on back. It was bulletproof.

One of the bigger advantages for the LG V60 worth mentioning is: 5G support, and more RAM, and also something called TV Output with the LG V60.

@@JordanPeterson. been looking into it, love the multitasking aspect with the dual screen I can buy separately at a later date (I've grown used to using Two Phones or a Phone and a Tablet for Gaming+Video Watching so this is perfect). As for the phone itself I think it's absolutely insane how this solid of specs is going for such a reasonable price (under $200 Open Box or Like New) and No One is talking about it, as well it's Still getting updated (with plans for Android 12) and it has access to the HDMI Compatibility and Dex Desktop Mode.
(Though what really shocked me with No One talking about it is you can throw a Telescopic controller on this thing then download the Citra Emulator, and now you've got a 3DS Phone thanks to the Dual Screen)

Great review! I hink I might go with the V60 in 2021. Battery life of 10hrs SOT nails it for me. Also I do like great stereo speakers. The only thing I don't like is the size of the phone. I would prefer it to be a bit more compact. 74mm is wide enough for me.

I'll make it easy. If you like movies and gaming, v60. If you need something comfortable for on the go, g8. The v60 is really big and I had some wrist problems after a while. I'm a heavy user and I'm also out a lot so it's like holding a heavy nunchuck for 6 hours, but in every other way, it's better than the g8. I would like to note that the fingerprint sensor is sometimes slow or finicky if you have small fingers or don't cover it entirely

Great comparison of my favorite 2 phones! To be honest, I don't care about the small bezel hype. I do prefer the displays of both of the LG's over any so called flagship phony phone out there with fancy useless edge displays anyway. Plus to put head phone jacks on a flagship phone nowadays isn't seen anymore apart from, let's say, Sony which I guess is seeing head phone jacks as nostalgia as the former inventer of a super successful portable audio device back in the 80's, the famous Walkman. Samsung quit the head phone jack since their last great phone they did, the Galaxy S10 plus, which, bummer, came with an edge display and was still around when the V60 came up which then of course was competing with the Galaxy S20 series...and ate them alive.
Too bad that on the Flip Phone LG cut corners on the Quad Dac together with the head phone jack. And too bad that as of now they left the mobile market all together, mostly because of lousy advertising and slow software updating policies they fell way behind because they just didn't know how to keep their brand popular and not because their phones were lousy which they weren't by no means. But hey, they are still in the market for fridges and such...and some if these with incredible storage...lol.

Hey! I am planning to buy either LG V40 or LG V50 new, as I heard the renewed phones can be either a hit or a miss. My budget is around $250 & my most important requirement is to have the LG quad DAC. I am mainly worried about LG not supporting their phones with security updates as soon as 1 year after the launch. So, do you think it is safe to buy LG V40 or V35 now?

Question if you can help you boy out. I got a regular g8 (not the x) rn that I'm shooting my UA-cam videos in. I find the mobile platform is just the easiest streamline way to do videos. I've been pretty successful on UA-cam so I guess it's not a terrible move. Looking to upgrade from my g8 into something that can shoot videos a little better in low light. The g8 cam sensor is pretty small so there is alotnot noise in the shots where I'm in a car filming for example. I tried the legit cameras out using a Sony a6400 and it was just too complicated messing w settings and s good mic and just too bulky. I'm thinking the s21ultra but that phone is way too expensive rn I think.
