- Lou Gramm, formerly of the rock band Foreigner and Black Sheep, and currently leading the Lou Gramm Band, performs the Star Spangled Banner prior to the start of the Rochester Razorsharks / Kentucky Bluegrass Stallions game at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y. on March 26, 2011.

Luvs, the reason why you didn't care much for his singing at that time is because he was still healing from his surgery that he had in 1997. It took a lot out of him. Takes time to get back to where he once was. LOVE LOU GRAMM!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The main thing is that this awesome singer and wonderful person has won the battle against his desease! He is so authentic and has always been very emotional in all the songs he sang - whether they were hard rocking songs or ballads. He was and still is one of my heroes, he was my musical companion in my youth. Wish him all the best for his "new" life and hope he's doing fine!

@@lady_in_blue83 Thank you! Yes, Lou has touched my soul ever since because he always gave his best and every time he starts singing, his voice gives me a shiver! He really feels what he's singing about and thus becomes obvious especially in his ballads that are full of emotion, longing and pain.

He had been through a rough time. Glad he returned to his roots in WNY. I remember Tim Graham, a sports writer, was unmerciful on Lou's rendition of the anthem at a Bills game. Tim didn't feel it was up to par, to put it mildly. Really shows the character of Tim Graham IMO.
