The reason for the frerquency choices in MasterRig is becuase it's a cut down version of the one you get in Wavelab Pro that has more features and 8 bands, the four you're seeing there are just the first four from the Pro version.
is there anyway I can run my cubase pro 10.5 plugins in Wavelab elements? I definitely want to get pro but can't swing it right now I made a sacrifice to get the elements version because I've needed it for a while. This would obviously just be until I can afford to upgrade higher for the nicer options but would be awesome if I could use the pro plugins I already own from cubase
HI Marcel. If you are running third-party plugins, then you may need to tell Wavelab about the folders where they are installed - that's done under File > Preferences > Plug-Ins where you can add folders for any VST2 plugins you have installed. VST3 plugins should be recognised without needing to set anything.
With the stock plugins, there isn't a 'MasterRig' equivalent in Cubase - there is a multi-band compressor in 'Pro', and of course third-party equivalents, but in Elements there's nothing suitable... I'm trying to stick just to included plugins purely for the sake of clarity, but personally I don't master anything with stock plugins as I've found I get much better results with Ozone (which is my main go-to in this area), and indeed most of my productions use third-party non-free plugins... (Sorry!)
@@musictechtuition got it. As a beginner I want to keep costs down atm, so will probably stick to the in built EQ and other tools - which you're helping me understand. Thx for coming back to me 👍

Do you know any way around how to use reference tracks using Wavelab elements 10?
Thanks for this
A nice clear explanation....
👌 excellent tutorial, thx

Is there an equivalent to this in Cubase itself?
BTW: 5:12 I've travelled that road, must be learning something

If you have pro you can use the Built in channel strip similar to the master rig but not exactly the same but you can around it
Do you normalize before applying the rig or after?
Generally, after, but you always want to keep an eye on levels when applying any process.
@@musictechtuition thank you.
